Probably to some degree. The Steelers front office knows more about players on NFL teams probably than those teams do. I could see his NFL talent when he was here. He might see the field in a few games on special teams. He is perfect for covering kicks.
The Steelers are desperate for middle linebacker depth, when you see them poach Amazon employees. I think the Steelers will find him to be better than expected IF he can learn their complex defense. Alex and Larry will help him with that.

Just saw that GB called up Gant Dubose from practice squad and is active for today’s game against Bears. Hopefully he can get in and get a few targets.
He is showing as inactive. Wonder if it is a roster quirk to allow them to retain him next year.???
