Niners @ Richmond - Jan. 5th

Anybody making the trip? I live up here now so I’ll be there with my Pops (Birthday present for him). Just figured I’d put up a thread to see if I’ll be the only one in Green there.

There will be a student contingent there, as part of a Niner Nation Gold bus trip. But most of them will be sober.

I was going to…until I saw it was a Wednesday night. If we knock off Mercer and GT, I might, but it is still not likely since it is a weeknight. Getting out of DC is terrible, I’d have to leave work at 2 and I’d rather not take vacation time.

No reason I shouldn’t go since I only live 7 miles from the Robins Center. Of course, I’ve been to all but one CLT/UR game there since we joined the A10 and we’ve lost all the games I’ve attended. Last year I didn’t go and we actually won.

If you go, be sure to bring our players some food please. They’ll be starving by then!

Well if we lose, be sure to introduce yourself, so at the end of the game I can stand up, point at you and say “YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU!!!”

To be fair, I will be too, since I have to work the next day.

VA is the man!

Lol.

Don’t have tickets yet but I usually just call UR and ask for tickets near the CLT bench. Tickets are only $5 so kinda hard to turn that down. I may bring my daughter but I tend to curse a lot at games so that may not be a good idea.

You need to get back up this way for UR or GW game.

I do. I am so wrapped up in band stuff that I don’t have time for much else outside of work.

As I said in another thread the wife and I are going. The day before, we’re meeting our son’s future in-laws who live up there. :-\

clt advise you to walk up to ur tix office, defy gravity and walk on ceiling.

u will get the spider pig discount.

tix are 3.74.

I have to go to Charlottesville on business some time in January or early February. i’m trying to be there that day so I can drive to Richmond for our game (about a 1 hour drive).

the niner’s need our support on this one, richmond is pretty good

Richmond waxed Wake Forest last night in Richmond. I know that might not be a shocker to some, but we will have our hands full up there for sure.

That’s nothing new. Bad thing is UR is actually really good this year.

Alright, I’m in. Just called and purchased my ticket from the UR ticket office. In section N somewhere near the CLT bench, at least that’s what the guy on the phone told me.

Yea, just bought mine. I’m in the section behind the bench, he didn’t give me a letter or anything, just told me I wouldn’t be right behind the bench as it is reserved for family, etc., but I’d be up a bit from that. Asked me if I wanted to sit with the students, but I said no thanks, we’ll need to spread the noise out a bit.

Sound like we may be seated near the same area. You described where I’ve sat in the past games I’ve attended at Robins. To bad those weren’t the $5 seats. Lol
