They only have three players on the roster listed at 6’7 or taller. They seem to score a lot of pts, reaching the 80’s and 90’s on a consistent basis, so I’m guessing they like to get out and run.
I imagine we will pretty much run a revolving door of subs and everyone up and down our roster will get plenty of PT. Against our D, I doubt they get over 60 pts. I see this one getting out of hand real quick. Just too much of a disparity in talent and athleticism.
My guess for the final:
Charlotte 90
Belmont Abbey 58
I’m a little uneasy about this game. These people believe. Once I heard that Belmont Abbey wasn’t hard to get into. (Long time ago.) Is that right? Who knows? I don’t want to play true believers our first game. They’re short. God knows how they spend their summer. Jimmer Freedet isn’t tall. Jesus was 5’6". They’ve got upperclassmen. It’s a feaking abbey… with friars and monks and bee hives and shit.
[color=green]I’m excited to see what our lineup will look like, and who will be playing–even tho it’s exhibition game, this should get students and everyone pumped.

I have lived in Belmont since 1980 (except for my college years and one year in ATL). I have attended Belmont Abbey games. I have had a few adventures with some Belmont Abbey girls.
With all of that said I look forward to seeing the Niner mop the floor with them. Crusaders are going down! (the girls sure did )
Let’s get some final score and top performer predictions.
I’m going with a 90-58 Charlotte win. Top scorer is Derrio with 16, top rebounder is Braz with 11, steals is Pierria with 4, and Deuce notches 8 assists. I think the scoring will be pretty balanced, with lot of guys in the 8 to 10 range.
