Rebuilding year, huh?
NNNIT-wise, yes. My formula from last year has been demolished. Next year, though…next year should be better put together.
Team-wise, a bit. Havent found my true scorer yet.
The idea of having a second post counter that is reset each year (to judge each poster’s contribution throughout the year) was briefly mentioned in the shoutbox, but what about this idea:
A rating system is established that allows posters to rate each post on a scale of -5 to 5, which is reset yearly. This lets us keep track of the quality of everybody’s posts, and make the selection committee’s job pretty easy at the end.

They use a system like that on http://messageboard.tuckermax.com and its works quite well. the only issue is that when you leave a rep point, you have to leave a comment with it also.
I dont think we had a winner last year did we? I was thinking it came down to Over and HP… Dont ever remember seeing a winner…
Im with the majority as far as only being able to be in one of the tourneys… Just doesnt seem right to be able to be in both. I dont run the tourneys so honestly I have no say in it…
There was not a POY last year. Over and HP never faced off.
As a result, I rule the the NNNIT champ reigns as poster of the year.
Jm Utter, come get your prize.
Since I was a finalist for the past two tournaments, I think the trophy should be named the Robertson Cup.
why screw with the format? Keep it how it is. You go to either or. Nuff said. lets keep it simple, every 3 days a new round. etc etc.
Since I didn't buy the rights to the NN.NIT in a monopolizing power grab I don't really have much control. I think it would be kinder and more fun to allow more posters to have a chance at participation rather than have overlap. But I'll leave it up to you.You don't have to control both to set the rules. You control the premier tournament so you can dictate the rules. Please just say that anyone who accepts a bid to the NNNIT can't be in the POY so we can end this silly discussion.

There was not a POY last year. Over and HP never faced off. Here's what happened last year. KevinHarbin was running the POY Tourney. He got married, and instead of holding the Final Round, he gave in to pressure from his wife and went on a honeymoon instead.

I thought today was Selection Wednesday?
paging kevinharbin…

First big snub…thelew1014

49or bust doesnt make it!?!?!?!?!?!? WOW
First big snub...thelew1014 2nd....J FeltYou know, this year I had the biggest trouble maing a list. Especially since I was actually working at it. I could have easily made a list of 100.
I will say that I didn’t get nearly the pm response that I had been expecting.
Remember, if ‘your guy’ didn’t get in, it’s probably because you didn’t tell me you wanted him in.

I’d like to cast a vote for X9er or whatever his name is. Anybody that can defend Lutz at this point has my vote.
