Hey, kevin, am I in the top 64 posters? I think I was last year, so in theory...you are, why? are you hoping that someone will see that you are there and vote you out?
No, I just couldn’t remember if I was or not and figured this would be the easiest way to find out. Also, you’re in the tournament, right? Or do you take yourself out of it because of personal conflict?
I’m leaving myself in. I only run the tourny cause somebody needs too. I would accept allegations of preferential treatment of myself but I’d probably just brush them off.
Certian members that can actually change polls are not allowed in however.

Welcome to the board.
My way, if you think a new poster is worthy, you can give him a vote. Which will be worth a good bit cause nobody else is PMing me.
I PMed you. at least i think i did. if i didnt i definitely meant to.
Welcome to the board.Tintin
I’ll take it this is your way of nominating me to the field of 65 for this years NN.N POY tournament!
Thanks Tintin!

CBI for you!
When are you making selections, mr Harbin? I have NNNIT invitees that would like to know of their status.

It’s been tough this year.
You know, cause I’ve actually been doing work on it.
I do have a question for you, though, Mr. Harbin. Will you allow POY participants to also be in the NN.NIT?
I do have a question for you, though, Mr. Harbin. Will you allow POY participants to also be in the NN.NIT?I know I haven't given time for a response from the distinguished Mr. Harbin, but the very notion of being allowed to participate in both is nuts to me. This is supposed to be modeled after the actual NCAA and NIT tourneys. They don't let people participate in both in that. It wouldn't make any sense.
I do have a question for you, though, Mr. Harbin. Will you allow POY participants to also be in the NN.NIT?Since I didn't buy the rights to the NN.NIT in a monopolizing power grab I don't really have much control. I think it would be kinder and more fun to allow more posters to have a chance at participation rather than have overlap. But I'll leave it up to you.
Im leaving it soley up to the participants. There are about 3 NNNIT invitees that could very easily make the POY tournament in hopes of getting some well known people to add to the legitmacy of the NNNIT.
It’s up to them, I guess

Rebuilding year, huh?

The NNNIT loses legitimacy by having NNNPOY eligible entrants. The idea is to make the competition competitive. An NNNPOY eligible entrant would likely just dominate the NNNIT. And if they don’t, it makes them look worse than just losing in the NNNPOY. Same as in D1 basketball and the NCAA and NIT tournaments.
I don’t think an individual should be allowed to participate in both for the exact reasons already posted.
who won last year’s poy contest? i don’t remember. weren’t metro and over40 in the finals? or was that the semis?
They should be different things guys.
- POY
- NIT
You know?
Don’t forget the CBI!
I dunno who won, but I’ve made strong runs both years.
