NNN hijack

I can access NNN on my BB but on a computer I get some strange “search” site pop up with a pic of some girl wearing a backpack.

Anyone else get this?

If I google NNN and click the cached version it goes thru.

I would say check the url but it’s pretty hard to mess up NinerNation.net

You may have an ad program on your computer if you cant find anything else wrong. Happened to my way back in my freshman year. It ends up redirecting you from your favorites.

Pretty sure you have a trojan/ad clicker that is redirecting the page and masking the domain so it is still NinerNation.net in the URL.

I just got rid of an ad clicker that would run sound files in the background, and it was a b*tch to remove as well.

Wierd its on laptop too. Must be something in the ISP.

No problems here either.

Was she wearing a UNC, NC State, or Charlotte Observer bookbag? That would make the hack idea seem more likely.

Well, if you’re connecting the latop through the same network as the infected computer, all of your computers could be compromised on the network.

the same thing happened to me when i was in the mosaic computer lab in smith, it didnt work for like 20 minutes and kept going to the screen metro talked about, then it started working again.

FYI, there are a few people with this problem. Chevee just said he cant acess it either.

The Gilderness is right. I am on via BB right now. I got the same screen as Metro on IE and Chrome. I think it might have to do with ISP as someone else said. We are on Nuvox. Who do you use Metro?

Being a nerd, I checked and found that the registration for ninernation.net had expired yesterday. I assume he just got that taken care of and we are good to go!

I had the same issue. It took me to another Niner Nation website.

I had it too. When you look at the source code it says something about NUSEEK. They have been know to hijack domains.

I have no problems with ninernation.net, but when i go to the index page it takes me to the hijaked page.
