Memphis will win the reg season. Anything goes in Conference Tournament play. To guarantee the at-large bid, Memphis will have to actually win at home in OOC play.

Good OOC schedule in all honestly. I wish I got to see Adam Morrison play here.

If yer talkin Football, Independence probably could. They havent lost a game in 3 years? 4 maybe?

Like they say, ya still have to play the games. Also, there are others teams in C-USA that get pretty good fan support, like UTEP with an average of around 10,500 a game last year in a 12,000 seat arena and even downtrodden Tulsa, which saw almost 6,000 a game in its 8,000 seat facility. Memphis should get it’s share of wins against the likes of Tulane, ECU, Marshall, and Southern Miss, but I’m not buying all the hype just yet.

f squid, have you purchased your season tickets to Niner games yet?

I thought you were buying them for me and throwing in a shirt! I'll be getting tickets for your game against Miss. St. , possibly Indiana.

That’s always been a pretty good question to ask wherever the tournament was held?

Well, until Katrina hit the Big Easy, I would have said New Orleans would have been a good place to hold the C-USA tourney as far as being centralized to most of the schools. Hmmm…

BTW, there’s been quite a thread on one of the Dayton boards discussing future sites of the A-10 tourney. My understanding is that US Bank Arena in Cincy is a dump and that it won’t be missed at all after the men’s tourney wraps up its 2-year stay there at the end of the 05-06 season.

I remember a conference tourney being held in Biloxi, so that would be the choice in Mississippi. Guess ECU could always bid for the RBC in Raleigh. Don’t ever see it going to West Virginia.

I can see it now.

MINGES COLISEUM… Home of the CUSA Tournament

Would be a great place once the casinos get reopened.

None of the Texas schools draw anybody, so that’s why you don’t throw it down there. Birmingham is the only other place that I think could host it (they hosted it in 99, I think).
