NNR - I thought you guys might want to see how you

Boy the schedule goes downhill in Feb!!

19 home games with the possibility of 24? Wow!

Couple questions about that schedule. How did you get some many home games and is the Winthrop game a home and home?

17, you are counting the exhibition game.

Winthrop is a buy game. We don't do home and homes with one bid conferences. Only 14 conference games in C-USA this year, so only 7 games we have to play on the road.

Now we know the key to a good home schedule: Be a perennial NIT power.

So then you should be playing all the conference games at home?? :D

yea i really donโ€™t like the fan base in memphis. A few of the guys in our pep band almost got in a fight last year because Memphis State fans were being asses.

Yet again a weak schedule that will keep them from an at-large bid.

Iโ€™d like to see Charlotte play Winthrop. Itโ€™d sure be better for the RPI than UNCA.

If we played Winthrop the way we played against UNCA, weโ€™d get thumped.

Who did they drill on the road last year? Georgia? By about 20?

Iโ€™d play them here but not there.

Memphis got the C-USA tourny again??? How did that happen???

Yes, there are a few cupcakes on the schedule, both OOC and C-USA, but overall not really that bad. Based on last year's RPI numbers:

41 Texas
49 UAB
59 Wisconsin-Milwaukee
60 Rice
83 Winthrop
84 Houston
94 Providence
106 Tennessee
108 UCF
116 Middle Tenn St
138 Ole Miss
148 SMU
149 La Tech
167 Lamar
180 Purdue
193 ECU
235 Marshall
239 Southern Miss
246 Tulane
247 Tulsa
263 Jackson St

Other Preseason NIT participants:

4 Duke
38 UCLA
72 Mizzou
102 Temple
120 Princeton
134 Seton Hall

In all seriousness, the best high school team in Charlotte could probably finish 3-4 in this conference.

houston will give memphis state a run for their money this year. Remember they kicked like 4 players off their team to make room for their number 1 recruiting class in a reallllllllllllllly long time.

I would think the main challengers to Cal & Co. in 05-06 will be Central Florida, Houston, UAB, and UTEP. Not sure if Rice will be able to repeat last year's success. I'm not convinced it will be a Tiger cakewalk...
