Refs sucked but I’m sick of hearing that as an excuse. We had several opportunities to control the outcome of this game but we blew it. Missed free throws killed us and Leemire made one of the dumbest moves in Niner history. I know he was provoked but when you’re up 2 points and going to the line to ice it, you DO NOT lose your cool like he did. You can point to serveral things but because of the timing of it, that was the play that cost us the ballgame.
Good effort though and I think we were the better team today. Just couldn’t close the deal at the end of regulation or end of OT. We had the chance to do both but choked as usual.
Not surprised, nor really bothered because it meant very little other than pride and ending their winning streak in front of a national audience. Just have to regroup and hopefully get to the finals next week. Though it looks like we’ll be playing the home team in our first game should they win. Lovely!
That prick Hall not only grabbed Lee by the jersey, he jerked him backwards. That should have also been a technical foul. They should have been off-setting technical fouls, both teams shoot and we get posession since we had it beofe they had the altercation.

Lee cost us that game in more ways than just the elbow. He missed the front end of a 1 and 1 that could have sealed it, and he had several bad TOs down the stretch.
a simple foul in the closing minutes and not allowing the three point attempt would have been really smart. GW were shooting poorly from the free throw line but what the heck…way to go bobby

That’s exactly why I’m pissed about this loss. They still talk about that Syracuse game to this day. Big wins on the road get press for years. And we BLEW IT!!!
We played an excellent game. That elbow by lee was unfortunate, but no one’s talkinga bout how Hall and company had been throwing him down all game long, had hold of his jersey, and smacked him on the head prior to the elbow. Bad decision though Lee.
