Longtime Norfolk sportswriter Harry Minium is returning to his alma mater as a senior executive writer following his recent retirement after 39 years with The Virginian Pilot. Will also be involved with ODU football radio pregame.
That’s a significant blow to CUSA reporting IMO, Harry was a good content generator.

Agree. Will be interesting to see if his successor at the Pilot can maintain that coverage.
As an ODU alum Minium did a good job of generating copy about the program, and while I think he was a fair reporter, he seemed to want the best for the Monarchs. Our alum that is a sports writer took the other approach.

They won’t skip a beat imo with whomever they hire. I’m originally from the tidewater area and the monarchs are a big deal up there. Minimal VA tech and wahoo coverage as opposed to us with the acc coverage with the tarhole observer
Not to mention the pro sports diversion.
