From Langston Wertz, Charlotte Observer. Check out his description of Beasley.
• The circus comes to town Tuesday when nationally ranked Oak Hill (Va.) visits Providence Day. The Warriors bring out recruiting fans and college fans, who want to see some of the best players in the country. This year, Oak Hill has two: point guard Tywon Lawson, the nation’s best at his position, has signed with UNC. Junior forward Mike Beasley – one of the most sublimely talented high school players I’ve seen in 10 years – has committed to Charlotte.
is the game scheduled for the Ridenhour gym or the Mosack center because there are two gyms on day’s campus… mosack is the first arena you will see and ridenhour is hidden towards the back of the campus… mosack usually holds the games but 8th graders play there too… find out which one first
It will be played in Mosack gym per their website - link is above in Directions. Where do you recommend sitting so we can all gather together? Is there seating on both sides, etc?
seating on one side and its opposite bench… if they even have bleachers behind the bench, i’ve never seen them pulled out… there is a hangout/concession area up top where people usually are before games… i say just be on the lookout for niner green
I loved playing against PD when I was in highschool. I went to a scholl in Winston-Salem and always looked forward to the PD competition. Ought to be a good game.
Quite the opposite. Jim went up to Oak Hill Academy to interview Michael and unless there’s a delay, the story will be in tomorrow’s Observer. Maybe we’ll get some reassurance straight from Beasley.
