Obscure golf result

Three members of the Charlotte golf team that haven’t played in a team competition played in a Division II tournament with several of the country’s best DII schools. They played as individuals, so there is no Charlotte team score. The players were Blake Stark (won tournament), David Rawluk (finished 3rd) and Ryan Wilson (finished 4th)…Ryan is misidentified as being a UNC Pembroke player.

It’s nice to know the cupboard won’t be bare.

“Burke finished in a deadlock for first place overall at 71-69—140 with Charlotte University 's Blake Stark.”

Go Charlotte University!

It’d be funny if they let our backups compete in D2, & then they won the nat’l title & our starters won the D1 nat’l title. We could be double champs!
Individual 1st, 3rd, & 4th, would have to have won that particular tourney if we were eligible.

Can we use an “A” Team and a “B” Team, either in the same tourney or even in seperate tourneys taking place at the same time?

It would be nice to finish FIRST AND SECOND IIN THE SAME TOURNEY or to WIN 2 TOURNEYS AT THE SAME TIME

It happened last year:

at 49er Classic, Oct. 23-24
Ray Sheedy 73 68 68 209
Trevor Murphy 75 71 73 219
J. Enander Hedin 72 76 73 221
Matt Mincer 76 74 77 227
Andrew DiBitetto 74 79 74 227
Totals 294 289 288 871

Corey Nagy, Ind 71 77 69 217
David Rawluk, Ind 77 73 71 221
S.Wiedergruen, Ind 75 78 72 225
Ty Lefler, Ind 74 77 79 230
Blake Stark, Ind 75 81 79 235

The “B” team, led then by the young, soon to be freshman all-american Corey Nagy, placed 2nd behind the A team and 12 ahead of Davidson, 13 ahead of Michigan. South Florida rounded out the top 5.

Only one team can count, and because of NCAA limited playing dates, you cannot send a team to a tournament, as a team, and not have them count. That’s why the B team above played as 5 individuals. The 3 that played at Tot Hill Farm were only individuals, so there was no team score and their appearance did not take playing dates away from the A team.

this makes me smile. tiger and phil don’t want none of us.
