Interested fans and corporations can add their names to the reservation list by calling the 49ers ticket office at (704) 687-4949 or the 49ers Athletic Foundation at (704) 687-4950.

Also curious as to why 4 simply chose not to vote. How is that different than the one that abstained? Were they in the bathroom at vote time or something?
Thank you Mac and trustees for beating sense into Dubois and using your leverage
This is a classic example why trustees are needed who care about the school, and not a dictator alone at the switch
I think for my 40th bday in 5 yrs I want a 49er football jersey, 49er pop tent, and a badass grill.

Give 'em credit. Even though they may have had reservations, a unanimous vote was not denied.

4 werenāt there. They canāt vote by absentee ballot. Chair Shaw made mention that all 4 had expressed support, but that it couldnāt be included in the official vote.
A UNCC team would play in a conference in the NCAA's Football Championship Subdivision (formerly known as Division 1-AA) for the foreseeable future.
Some in the general public are implying that to mean UNCC is launching this football team and planning to stay in 1-AA. This is obviously not the case. It could be clarified.

I agree. Great article too. The only thing missing was this from the AP release:
Charlotte, the school that produced Cedric Maxwell, an unlikely Final Four appearance in 1977 and consistent NCAA tournament basketball teams ever since, wants to try its hand at football.Iām not complaining, but that addition would have been the icing on the cake.
