Observer: Panthers could still get the 3rd overall pick

I guess this is somewhat related? I’m reaching, I know…

The green text in NA’s post above is almost unreadable to me. @ninermac, if you are fiddling around this might be something to look at.

Thanks for pointing that out. I’ll try and tweak the quote background to make it more visible.

@Nugget Better?

@ninermac, it is definitely better. Thanks for making the change.

I hate the tarholes but the reality is, Panthers should draft Sam Howell

And a coach

No way,in hell.

When it comes to the various Charlotte pro teams - both major and minor league - I could care less where players attended college. If a Tar Heel is the best choice in any given situation, then so be it.

Howell is not the best…thats the point…and more importantly, the Panthers need OL help, more than anything and its not even close.

Let’s ask the Chicago Bears what drafting an overrated Tar Hole QB is like. On the other hand, Carolina will figure out someone worse to draft I’m certain.

Trying to sell my PSLs. May let them go back to Tepper as they bring me no joy.
Pathetic season and future looks dim, but I hope they prove me wrong.

clt says look at the lowly hornets. Jordan pushed them to draft UNC CHeat players.

NOPE

FWIW, since Michael Jordan became involved with the Bobcats / Hornets in 2006, the team has drafted one player from UNC-CH - Brandan Wright in 2007 - and he was immediately traded to the Warriors.

In the 2005 NBA draft, the Bobcats drafted Raymond Felton and Sean May from North Carolina. In their second season, the Bobcats opened Charlotte Bobcats Arena with an overtime victory over the Celtics. Despite struggling for most of the year, they managed to close out the season with four straight wins to finish with a record of 26–56, an eight-game improvement from the previous season. After the season, the Bobcats announced that NBA legend and North Carolina native Michael Jordan had bought a minority stake in the team. As part of the deal, he became head of basketball operations, though Bickerstaff remained general manager

Yes, I am aware that the Hornets / Bobcats / Hornets have drafted 4 Tar Heels over the course of their existence. Three of those came BEFORE Jordan became involved with the franchise, including Felton and May.
