Jim - why no ticket information? Also, would be nice to have the Clemson at Charlotte, Halton 7:00 at the top of the story.
Clemson’s basketball team has arrived, at least that’s what the folks in Charlotte believe.
The University of Charlotte, which will host the Tigers tonight at Halton Arena in Charlotte, has asked its fans and students to “black out” the arena when Clemson brings its undefeated team to The Queen City.
That’s a big compliment for a Clemson program that six years ago may not have had anyone outside of Clemson come and watch it play a game.

Seriously. Look at the game-related info The State (SC) gave us. I mean wow, this game is being played in Charlotte for heaven’s sake.

THREE THINGS TO WATCH
Last year, Charlotte upset the 18th-ranked Tigers 82-72 in Littlejohn Coliseum. Clemson helped out a lot, committing 18 turnovers while making just 4-of-20 3-pointers. But it should also be noted the 49ers lost their leading scorer from that game, guard Leemire Goldwire, who had 21 points and 10 rebounds.
This is a homecoming game for Clemson senior guard K.C. Rivers, a Charlotte native. Rivers’ uncle, Byron Dinkins, was a star guard for Charlotte from 1985-89 and later had his jersey retired by the school. Sophomore point guard Demontez Stitt also hails from nearby Matthews, N.C.
Rebounding has been a sore spot for the 49ers. Opponents have out-boarded Charlotte by nearly six per game. Conversely, Clemson is out-rebounding teams by a 5.4 per game average, with Trevor Booker notching 11.3 per.
KEY PLAYER
F Trevor Booker, Clemson
Booker had a career-high 32 points in last year’s loss to Charlotte, and the 49ers’ interior personnel has not changed. Furthermore, the 6-foot-7 junior showed no ill effects from a sprained ankle in Wednesday’s romp of Wofford.

BOTTOM LINE Clemson has won six consecutive nonconference road games in the past two seasons. Considering Charlotte’s losses this year have come to Appalachian State and Old Dominion, the Tigers figure to extend that streak.

“We should be a little hungry”? per Coach Lutz. Man, has this program taken a fall. We should be salivating every friggin’ game. Please!
"A SPIN AROUND COLLEGE BASKETBALL"Charlotte vs. Clemson Charlotte has 10 of its top 11 scorers and 4 starters returning. The 49ers are expected to contend for the Atlantic 10 title, but they have struggled early. They’ve lost two straight, to Appalachian State and Old Dominion. They play Clemson on Saturday.

Seriously. Look at the game-related info The State (SC) gave us. I mean wow, this game is being played in Charlotte for heaven's sake. And this is from the Columbia paper. I don’t think you were around when we we hosting ranked CUSA teams and not receiving any mention in any pre-game article in the Observer. MIke P actually told us pre-games did not exist for college basketball, even though he was printing pre-games for other teams in and outside of NC.http://www.thestate.com/sports/story/598647.html

I’ll admit, things have improved some, but we missed a golden chance back then.
Nice article Jim.
