Wither’s wake-up call!!! Hopefully, the right buttons have been pushed. We need a big night from Curt.
exactly what I have been screaming…get on the block Curtis!
“The pick-and-roll was perfectly scripted for a 6-foot-8 power forward. All Charlotte’s Curtis Withers had to do was roll and bury the 5-foot-10 guard in the low post. Instead, Withers lingered near the 3-point line, and the mismatch evaporated.”
This make some of the comments by the bar stool coaches to be completely wrong about Lutz not using Withers correctly. Appears to be that Withers is wanting to play his own game. Regardless of how good Withers may be, Lutz did the right thing in sitting him down. Just hope that Withers adjusts, he is too good and means too much for the team to do otherwise.
Nice article by Jena again!
This is a more common occurance with PFs than one might think. Maybe Curtis feels like he needs to run the O, I disagree. Curtis’s 3 shot is a bonus to his inside game not vice versa. Get on the blocks young man, if your shot is not there it is because you are doubled up, kick it to the open guy and get your assist. Ain’t brain surgery.

couldn’t agree more. thank you for posting that.
Withers is not the reason we are not playing well…

Right on.
Another great article from the Observer. KEEP IT UP!
I expect a big game out of Withers. He responded very well against Alabama and I expect the same out of him tomorow night. My expereince has been that when we play a tough opponent we usually step it up. It’s those games that we “expect” to win that we tend to play mediocre.
