Online I read this… Anyone know the numbers here in regards to UNC Charlotte alums?
Earlier in the day, Ken Haines, president and CEO of Charlotte-based Raycom Sports, which operates the Continental Tire Bowl, said North Carolina has strong local appeal.
“There are more North Carolina alumni in Charlotte than (from) any other university,” Haines said.
Mr. Haines is wrong.
According to our alumni website, there are 39,553 UNCC grads living in the Charlotte metro area.

And you’re right, Haines was wrong. But among football-playing schools, he was right.
