Why is it dreaded? Do we have a bad record against teams from that conference?

Exactly. Actually the record against the Northeast Conference isnā€™t bad, 7-2. The other loss was during the February, 1977 Weekend of Pennsylvania Hell against Saint Francis when Melvin Watkins couldnā€™t play due to an injury and Cedric Maxwell was bullied into throwing a punch to get ejected.

Central Connecticut State, 1-0
Fairleigh-Dickinson, 2-0
Long Island, 1-0
Monmouth, 0-1
Saint Francis (PA), 2-1
