OK, so who stays and who goes?

Personally, I don’t want either one of them taking shots.

:o Have you turned in your cape? ;)

I hold my breath even when Iti goes up for a wide open dunk. If he could hit that jump hook consistantly next year, that would be nice.

Nance noramally has a pretty decent jump shot.

Nah, I like watching him play D and rebound, those are my favorite parts of his game. He gets after the ball better than anyone, even better than Eddie. I could see him have a 20+ rebounding game.

I like Nance getting garbage points, drawing fouls and playing solid position basketball. He plays smart ball.

My book on Iti is that he should never touch the ball in the flow of the offense. If he goes and gets it off the glass its his, or if he is wide open for a flush then pass…but never in the flow. Now with that said he will never get any better nor will we be as effective kicking in out for threes if he doesn’t get a taste every now and then.

I could see Nance having a senior breakthrough much like cam stephens did. Couldn’t you see Curt and Chris tandem, one with slightly less range. If nance develops and deangelo alexander has an outside shot we shouldn’t drop off at all. As for Iti, at this point it looks like Nance is closer to being a solid player. Too many stupid mistakes for Iti.

I knew somebody would be idiotic enough to say something like this so I decided to keep up with it. When Iti was in the game, we outscored UC by 5. When Nance was in the game, UC outscored us by 1. When they were both out, they outscored us by 3. Last time I checked that is a 6 point difference when Iti was in the game over Nance and last time I checked the score stat line was all that matters. I nominate this for stupidest post of the year.

There are so many variables involved in your ā€œformulaā€ (and I use that term lightly) that they can’t be counted. That is probably the most ridiculous measuring stick ever.

Nance boxes out, Iti never does. All his rebounds are because of his reach, luck or both.

Nance can defend the post, Iti cannot.

Nance can set effective screens, Iti does occasionally.

Stop worrying about points. We don’t need either of them to score. What we need is a post defender that can rebound.

Are you talking about the niners Martin Iti? He doesn’t have game from more than 1 foot from the basket!!

nbadraft.net has neither listed in the first or second round.

This is one of Sagers better games his freshmen year at UW-GB. I have watched the kid play since high school. Did you know his Senior year of high school that he beat Scott Merrits and Devin Harris’s team(Wauwatosa East) which is a suburb of Milwaukee. I’ll tell you if Lutz would of given him a shot he could’ve done just as good a job jacking up three’s like plavich as you can see from even his sophomore season here. GO BADGERS… sry its just my team

HOLY WAY OUT OF LEFT FIELD POST, BATMAN!!!

I don’t feel bad for Sager. He should have stayed put. He should have looked at Dee Tolliver’s career here and not come. He took a risk and blew it. Life goes on.

I'll tell you if Lutz would of given him a shot he could've done just as good a job jacking up three's like plavich as you can see from even his sophomore season here.

Sager is just too slow, with both his footwork and his release of the ball when he shoots. Also, he doesn’t handle the ball very well. Plav does all three much better. Sager would be a better fit in Wisconsin’s offense than he was here (half-court, no fast break, etc.). The fact that he got mono two season’s ago really hurt his development, also. He had a chance to get lots of PT that year while Plav had to sit out, but mono nixed that. I like Sager and his effort, but he just couldn’t do what we needed him to do in our offense.

As well you shouldn’t. The kid got a business degree and is getting his mba, all courtesy of the NCAA…oh wait, that’s what college sports is supposed to be about, isn’t it…the so-called student athlete?

Going to charlotte also put him in contact with numerous businesses that he wouldn’t have had contact with if he hadn’t come to charlotte. Charlotte is the place to be for banking and finance.

So he doesn’t get to play pretty much at all, boo hoo, he’ll come out of this with a much better future than most college basketball players.

Get 'em. Long time no see.

this whole medical school thing/interviewing for residency is sort of time consuming. But i lurk occasionally

Sager Time will be good times tomorrow. He should get good minutes to boot.
Hope all goes well on match day.

hello doc. remind me, were you specializing in "elder care?"

if so, i’ve got a few questions.

Sorry, gruehls, I’m doing pathology…on second thought, I’ll definitely be helping you in the near future :stuck_out_tongue:

That one probably left a mark.
