OK, so who stays and who goes?

I’m thinking (hoping) that Curt stays. I think he will since he hasn’t had a dominating year and his stock won’t be as high as it could be after a good senior campaign. Iti should stay but you never know with his idiot handlers.

I hope Curt stays but if Iti leaves I don’t think it will hurt us. All he can do is dunk.

he cant even do that. he missed about 6 or 7 dunks last year, and probably has 5 missed dunks already this year, probably more actually

Curt stays, Iti leaves. He’s going to follow in Wade Helliwell’s footsteps. Australia- to Charlotte- back to Australia.

We’ll see in June. I am ready for Wednesday right now.

I say both Plav and Basden leave. I hope I’m wrong, but I have a hunch…

Norm the Niner and Martin Iti both have "handlers".

I think when Martin Iti graduates, or unsuccsessfully goes to draft, he should become Norm’s sidekick. He could dress up in a miner outfit.

just an idea…

I hope he stays, or else Curtis is going to be playing a lot of center next year.

By the way, to be eligible for the summer world championship games next year, you have to still be in college, the team he played on last summer. I think last summers team is already this summers team, ie., no more try outs.

Sager goes straight to the lottery.

I feel for the guy. He was a big fish in a little pond and sat out a year to play here only to see extremely limited time this year.

Coach didn’t even put him in against Marquette in front of 40-50 of his family and friends. We didn’t exactly have garbage time at the end of that game but I think a last minute substitution would not have hurt.

I hope that both Curt and Martin stay. Iti isn’t great but he can improve.

Ditto on Sager. Seems like ancient history when he was scoring in double figures his sophomore season versus Temple (21 points), Indiana (14 points), and 11 points in each game with Long Beach State and Miami-FL before he went out with mono. Wonder if he regrets not choosing Gonzaga or Wisconsin instead of Charlotte when he left UW-Green Bay? Hmmm…

That’s my feeling on Martin, I think he can get better.

I just wish Coach would give Nance more floor time, he outplayed him in the UC game, having a better stat line in less minutes.

I think some time on the bench helps mature players a lot quicker than playing after making mistakes.

But, then again, what do I know, we’re 15-4.

Martin can definitely improve. When he extends himself offensively, he’s not going to be denied… be it by hook, or by drive. That baseline drive he does for the reverse is a very nice move. When he shoots a true hook, with his long arms, it’s practically a lay up. What I don’t like is the “flip” hook he apparently developed with the help of Lister. It’s garbage. I don’t blame Iti for trying to use what he learned, but those who taught him that should be tarred and feathered.

He may not have lived up to the hype, but guys Martin’s size are still invaluable. He forces teams to play over him and he’s going to alter a lot of shots that he doesn’t block. Personally, I think Martin is still just learning the game of basketball. He has played better this season than last and I think that trend will continue. IF he sticks around, he may wind up being a very nice post player his Junior/Senior year. I’ve cussed him more often than not but he has a lot of potential.

I think both guys wear Niner green next year.

I knew somebody would be idiotic enough to say something like this so I decided to keep up with it. When Iti was in the game, we outscored UC by 5. When Nance was in the game, UC outscored us by 1. When they were both out, they outscored us by 3. Last time I checked that is a 6 point difference when Iti was in the game over Nance and last time I checked the score stat line was all that matters.

iti and withers are both staying, if we go deep in the tournament only person to get drafted in the nba will be Eddie Basden,

Works for me, mazz.

Nance put up a couple of ugly shots Saturday… one of them was a wide open five footer that he left a foot short. Not sure what his problem was, but he didn’t really look like himself.

Iti on the other hand looked better Saturday than he has lately… he grabbed a couple of crucial rebounds. He still isn’t much of a threat offensivley. I think if he stays on campus and works hard over the summer he we could see a lot of improvement in him next year.
