Anyone see this from last night? What was that??? Lucky for him he missed or he would have been tossed and probably suspended for several more games.
Punk move.
How were you able to get that video on here? Can’t you do the same for Nance’s dunk?
Hodge is a punk. He is always pulling crap like that
Wow. I had the game on and I heard them talking about that play, but I never saw it. That is insane, no reason at all for it and it’s impossible to have any other explaination for it other than he was trying to hit him or scare him. What a dumb, dumb play in a close game. We can complain about our guy’s shot selection sometimes, but that play is far dumber than anything a Niner has done(on the court) this season. I guess the situation could always be worse, at least we’re not NC State!

I just found it posted on another board. I’m still working on the Nance dunk, but I’m not sure that I can get it from the DVR to the computer.
The only way to get that video of Nance off a TimeWarner DVR is to hook it up toa vidoe card or capture card/device and play it like you would on a TV. Those TW DVR’s aren’t networkable, so you have to do it old school.

Back on topic… it looks like hodge actually did make contact. You can see it if you watch close. From the Raleigh paper:
But Bennerman wasn't the only State player to put the ball in a Duke player's face. The Pack's Julius Hodge also did it -- an uncalled-for, untimely decision by the senior. With Duke leading 59-54, Hodge was handling the ball near the key, with Duke’s Daniel Ewing closely defending him. Hodge, frustrated, playing poorly, swung the ball toward Ewing’s face, clipping Ewing on the nose.
Hodge was called for a personal foul. Ewing took it personally.
“Not a classy play on his part,” Ewing said. “I felt it was intentional.”
For a few seconds, Ewing and Hodge stood nose to nose, both jawing away before being separated by the referees.
“That’s the most angry I’ve ever been in a game,” Ewing said. “It got us motivated. It lit some fire into us, especially me.”
After a three-point play by Williams, Ewing scored on a drive on Duke’s next possession. Moments later, he swished a 3-pointer from the left of the key, holding the shooter’s pose for a second or two for the ESPN cameras to catch.
From the High Point Enterprise…
Daniel Ewing said the ball merely grazed his nose.Duke’s senior guard didn’t deny his near-altercation with N.C. State counterpart
Julius Hodge fueled his competitive fire on Thursday night. But teammate J.J. Redick felt the Blue Devils were on their way to an 86-74 victory regardless."We were fired up the whole second half,‘’ Redick said. "That just added to it.‘’
The play in question occurred with 10:28 remaining at the RBC Center and Duke ahead 57-54. Hodge swung the ball outward in frustration and was whistled for an offensive foul as he appeared to make contact with Ewing’s face.
Officials and teammates quickly stepped between the two players. When the game resumed, the Blue Devils continued a run in which they scored on 11 of 13 possessions to turn a two-point deficit into the eventual 12-point win.
"It’s just a human reaction - if someone hits you, you’d get mad, too,‘’ Ewing said. "Fortunately, this isn’t a sport where you retaliate that way. But it lit a fire under me. That’s all I can say about that.‘’
the acc is just full of class. f the acc and its better than thou fans.
