I think we’re gonna beat cinci,and I think we’ll make the dance.We’ll probably lose to someone we should beat between now and than and get a pretty lousy seeding,but I think we’ll get there.Beyond that,I think we’ll probably get knocked out in the first round.Why??? Here’s why…1)We’re a lousy defensive team…beyond Eddie and a healthy Mitchell we’re a day late and a dollar short and coach knows that.2)We have no presence in the middle…Martin(before he gets in foul trouble) scares noone,and Nance is ok but not gonna cause anyone to quake in their boots.3)Our free throw shooting is…well we all know the answer there,and in the tourney it’s much more important…no J.J. Redicks here.4) We’re not gonna steal any games with extraordinary or creative coaching…let’s just call coaching a neutral.5)Our guard play is average,and Very inconsistent…Plav can hit some bombs…or he can go 2-10,most likely teams are gonna get into his shorts like ECU and a couple of teams have,frustrate him and we’ll see less of him,since his D is a big liability…and Mitchell,when healthy is a good player,but he’s not the kind of guy to carry a team…we’re basically Eddie and Curtis and a prayer that,hopefully someone else gets hot. I hope i’m way too pessimistic and wrong…NOW fire away at me

I agree with the others. You may want to try breaking up your sentences some but I'll offer a rebuttal to your glass half empty point of view. Of course, I'm one of the leaders of the rah-rah clan. :wacko: This season isn't over.

We need some big wins. Senior’s Eddie and Brendan need to step up!!! Mitch needs to be healthy and aggressive. Curt has to continue his resurgence. Drayton needs to be more consistent. Iti/Nance have to give us some production. We know we are capable. Now put it together. 9 games left to prove we’re a very good team.

As you point out, during crunch time we need to get the ball in the hands of our seniors Eddie and Plav. During crunch time we also need to have the starters on the floor !

Nothing wrong with being in the rah-rah clan Lefty. I don’t disagree with anything you said,and share you’re hope that it all happens.

I believe as Lefty said, this team has great potential, but when I look at each of your points I have to be honest with myself and answer each as such:

  1. True.
  2. Withers is our post presence if he plays like the beast down low that he can be.
  3. True.
  4. True (in the tournament, generally you are going against the best coaching).
  5. True.

All of this being said, this does not mean we are doomed, but we sure as hell need to improve in all these areas if we want to make the deep run that we all know we need.
