This game was enough to get me off the fence. If Lutz gets a big contract, I think the money I have saved up for season tickets is going elsewhere.
20 wins was enough to get me off the fence. If Lutz gets a big contract, I think I will celebrate in the streets.
I swear sometimes this site is PREDICTABLE, for every negative thing mentioned somebody has to come back with the complete 180 positive. Thatās fine when somebody does a ****ty attack on Lutz or the players, but god forbid someone have a legitimate gripe.
You can usually tell who is going to say the super positive stuff.
I am just sick to my stomach from the performace we gave last night. There is no excuse for that.
I agree with you, and I definitely wasnāt trying to pick on you or 49x with that post, that was just the very last example. Thereās just always an Anti-Lutz crowd (no matter what), a Pro-Lutz crowd (no matter what), and a group of people who want good things to happen with Charlotte (w/Lutz or whoever) but know good basketball when it happens. I hate when the last group gets mixed with the first group by the second group.

Yeah I got what you were saying. I think there are very few people who post here that are really looking for us to fail, but the way some people post you would think most of us wanted the basketball program to be the worst in the country.
I am desperate for us to put together a competitive squad and make a run in the tournament. However, sometimes I feel that folks on this board watch a game like last night, then proceed to close their eyes, plug their ears and make excuses.
We win when our crazy, lucky, non-fundamental, circus shots fall. We lose when they donāt. I am THRILLED when we win and I brag all over the place (not here, as noted by many of you), but I still recognize that our style of play only works in spurts ā not very consistent.

That is just plain STUPID!!! Utter has been the best thing the Observer has ever done for the 9ers. AND, additionally he has kept us connected to games that some of us outside of Charlotte would have no clue whether we won or lost until the next day. Regards, Oldniner
Then he shouldn't confront posters in the shoutbox when they are venting about a brutal NIT performance by their team. If he is going to be a fan and Lutz apologist that's his right. However, if he is going to dish it out, he can eat it too.
Husker fan here. I read opposing teams boards to try and get a better perspective on all of Nebraskaās sports matchups and also try to gauge post-game response.
Obviously, I donāt know your coach as well as you guys do (and you all seem very split on him), but in Lutzās defense: Doc has outcoached most of his opponents this year. He upset a then-hot-handed Oregon team in non-conference play, upset then #24 Kansas State while holding Michael Beasley to just 17 points (he told the press before the game that he expected to score 50-60 points) and then #22 Texas A&M two days later. Nebraska also lost to #9 Texas without starting point guard Cookie Miller.
Most recently, Nebraska lost to #5 Kansas 64-54. I know that might not sound like a big deal, but Kansasā high-flying high-scoring offense being held under 70 is amazing in and of itself. Also some believe that the game was tilted in Kansasā favor, with KU shooting 31 free throws to Nebraskaās 10, prompting a meeting with the Head Big XII Officials days later.
I guess what Iām trying to say is, donāt discredit youāre coach for getting topped by Doc, thatās one mark that in my opinion shouldnāt count against anyone.
