He’s just trying to “call us out,” “stir the pot”, “throw us under the bus” etc. If he really thinks Vatech is better than us he’s more of a freakin moron than I thought. And that’s saying something.
this is exactly what fudge wants. it is really easy to stop him, just dont listen. i haven’t listened to him since he started bashing the niners.
Steet and Smith’s top 100 means nothing, but it’s funny how other universities who got on the list are gushing like they won an academy award or something. :rolleyes:

So far, Virginia Tech has fared better in the ACC than I thought they would. Granted I expected them to be dead last in the conference at this point. Their biggest wins so far have been against Clemson, State, and Georgia Tech, and have come by a combined four points. While a few of their losses have been to good teams (Carolina, Western Michigan, and Mississippi State), three have come to sub-100 RPI teams (according to numbers on CollegeRPI.com). They have losses against Florida State (122) and St. John’s (131), as well as a very troubling loss to VMI (328…out of 330). Also, their loss to Carolina (#8 on CollegeRPI) was by 34 points. Compare that to the highest-rated team we’ve played (and lost to) so far, Alabama (11), where we lost by one point in triple overtime. A two-point loss to Rutgers (91) and even a 22-point beating by Cincinnati (28) puts us at 13-3 and #45 on CollegeRPI with no losses to sub-100 teams. Virginia Tech? 10-6 and #162. And they’re better than us because…?

Personally I think Packer is just pissed that we don’t call his show. In his mind we should cowering at his radio table like Oliver asking, “Please sir, can I have some more?” He’s insulted because we aren’t.
The fact is he caters to the lowest common denominator of sports fan. Red neck, dead beat, TPT ACC band wagon fans who couldn’t spell Chapel Hell (that was intentional by the way) much less go to school there. They’re fans who’s entire sense of self worth is wrapped in how these teams do and what he and his cronies say about them. They cheer for these teams because it’s the easy way out, and that’s just their way. They sit out front of their double wides drinking themselves stupid while adjusting the coat hanger hanging from their radio in an effort to pick up their sorry ass signal. 49er fans aren’t like that and don’t do that.
A 49er fan is a fan who takes pride in their team because they care, not because everyone else tells them they should. A 49er fan is a fan that is committed to this team out of loyalty and a desire to see them succeed. We don’t look for our teams to succeed in an effort to validate a wasted life like Fatseed, we do so because this team means more to us than just an email to "talentfree@wfnz.com" or a call to the Whiner Line that makes it on the air. The type of fan we are doesn’t listen to this no talent douche bag, we laugh at him and then turn on our XM or Sirius.

I believe you’re right.
He said early on that we basically didn’t have the guts to call the show. Once I stopped laughing, I recalled from a week or two ago when he said he couldn’t believe there was not one call from 49er fans that particular week.
I swear to God, I felt proud.

I also love how now that the ratings are out, he made sure to promo that his show is the #1 sports talk show in Charlotte. And with all that competition??? Man, I’m SO impressed that he could hold on to that #1 ranking again. Pretty sad when you have to brag about being the number one sports show in THIS market. 
I partially blame our school for continuing to be a paying sponsor of that program as much as they trash us on there.
