Anyone heading out to watch this game tonight? The hype around this season is obviously nowhere near last year, but I would still love to find a rowdy crowd to watch the game with. Are there any happenings at Picasso’s/Stool Pigeons, etc tonight?
picasso’s will probably be pretty hype
WTF!!! You have 1:37 left and all you need is a field goal and you run the clock out??? That was one of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen. They deserved to lose after that.

I’m also trying to figure out why coaches do this. Even if you win the toss in overtime as the Panthers did, you’re right back in the same situation as you were at the end of regualtion. So why not go ahead and take you’re shot in regulation? It’s sudden death either way, so I don’t understand the conservative approach.
Regardless, I still like our chances to finish 8-8 and grab that last wildcard spot. I also say we’ll be playing Green Bay in the first playoff game. Normally, I would like our chances against them this year (our team now, not the team that lost to them already), but playing at Lambeau during the playoffs is near impossible for almost any visiting team.
That said, I still wish them the best of luck and think we are much better now than our record reflects. Coming back from 1-7 to possibly finish at .500 and make the playoffs is quite a feat.
Side note: The interest still seems to be in Charlotte, even after a lousy start - thanks to the Super Bowl last year. I know several people that wouldn’t normally even care about football during the regular season but have watched almost every game, even during the first half of the season.
That loss to Atlanta still stings though…
