The debate I have waited for, So I too would have to side with the Ninjas, for large part pirates depended on noise and propoganda to scare their opponents into submission, the jolly roger and the flaming beard and drinking gunpowder/whiskey. Very few were trained in any sort of combat and their various ailments (besides scurvy) attest to them being bad fighters. ninjas would be given years of physical and mental discipline I’d imagine your average ninja could take on maybe 4-5 pirates. Pirates winning would be like the bums of fighting taking the lawyers and doctors of fighting down at their own game.
Ninjas dress like architects, I’ll go with Pirates on fashion, especially with the eye patch.

The Inverse law works well when applied to the Ninja turtles. 4 turtles vs footclan = turtle victory. 4 turtles vs shredder = shredder victory. shredder vs splinter = splinter victory, but shredder comes back in the second movie from the dead showing that ninjas one vs one are truly indestructible.

As a long time TMNT Michelangelo fan, ninjas always rank above pirates. Pirates were the original gays, wearing lots of bling around their necks. They do however, get bonus points for keeping coins in their pockets while swinging swords from ship masts.
I don’t think the question is about any kind of ‘mutant’ ninja’s. if it were there would be some modifier about the pirates too…
