Lots of coaching changes makes for a lot of people looking, too.
One thing not mentioned here, biggest hire this upcoming offseason is going to be our Recruiting Coordinator. Need an impact guy in that spot.
Probably no chance for Mike London as OC/Recruiting Coordinator is there? Huge stretch, but the man can recruit.
100%
Jeff Mullen is awful though.

Probably as much chance as Mark Price landing Rick Barnes as an assistant.

Mike London has a defensive background, so OC should be out of the question for him, but he is a pretty good recruiter. Also, people have mentioned us needing a Special Teams Coordinator, but we also need a QB coach to help our QBās with pre & post snap reads, and other QB IQ things.
clt says give the 49āers coach time.
I am 50-50. The fact we donāt have a QB is what brings me down. It is his responsibility to get us a QB and he has not done that.
No.
Should he be fired? No
But him and staff are going to have to prove themselves to gain my full support again. The only thing weāve done consistently over 3 years is lose games or blow games we shouldnāt. We also chose to start Lee McNeil. Iām no longer confident. He did fire his DC after 2 terrible seasons which was a good move. But this season the decision making regressed. If he fires Mullen or they win next year, Iāll be confident again. But if he keeps Mullen and we end up with less than 4 wins, then itāll be time for change.
Itās too early for this poll.
Iām making no judgements until he has five years of FBS recruits.
Until then itās not a level playing field

On the coaches show tonight, when asked, coach said initially he thought at this point in time weād be in the southern or CAA (FCS). Surprise! We got asked to join CUSA and we had to take the opportunity.
So now we are in an FBS conference (YAAAYY!) but with FCS talent (booo!). It IS what it is. Not coachās āfaultā. We just have to struggle through these building years and get competitive as soon as we can. Not really fair to evaluate him until he is given a chance to recruit, and hopefully land, FBS talent.
I expected 2 wins and got 2 wins. I do find it interesting that we were more competitive in some games that we were expected to be and that has made people upset with the coaching staff who coached the team to be more competitive in those games.
I was not a fan of the QB situation this season and special teams have to get better.
With that said I said from the start that I felt it was going to be year 5 before you could really start judging things. I am still in the place. Year 3 is done, year 4 should be a few more wins and then year 5 is when I expect us to be a solid program. Doesnāt mean we have to have a winning record, but should mean we are in most games and win our share.
Agree⦠those that feel the coach should be put on a clock after this season need to be realistic.

While I was quite pissed after the FAU, ODU, and UTSA games, we are trending in the right direction. Wallerstad was a great add.
On the list of thinks we need to improve:
[ul][li]Find [glow=green,2,300]A[/glow] QB, and stick with him. [/li]
[li]Hire a Special Teams Coach. Lambert needs to be the HC, not both. We clearly need to improve all aspects of Special Teams, we were bad in all facets.[/li]
[li]Recruiting (not that its been bad, but it can always be better- for any school) [/li][/ul]
This is on point, but the 2016 recruitment is an urgent issue. I donāt think people realize what we are losing on defense. Devon Johnson, CCM, Desmond Floyd, Dozier, etc. Their replacements have nowhere near their size and experience. We have to find a QB, and we have to incrementally improve that O Line (Danny Book is leaving)
The O-line should be as good or better. For one we wonāt have an emotional coaching change just days before the season starts⦠we have better talent with our younger recruits and they will be much improved due to this years experience and another off season.
Defense should be strong as well⦠donāt be surprised to see a Juco or two added to provide depth and/or to replace some of those you mentioned⦠I also wouldnāt be surprised to see a RB added.

Iām pretty much in the same boat. Brad Lambert was brought in to start up a program from scratch and I think he has done a pretty good job laying the foundation. Off the field I donāt think we could have asked for more. On the field, obviously I dislike some of the decisions made, but overall I am OK with where we are. Lambert has proven that he can recognize problem areas in the offseason, and address them accordingly (see our defense from last year to this year.) We were a decent QB away from winning 5 or 6 games and I think that will be addressed this off season. He seemed to be already addressing that in his post-game interview on Saturday. He said (paraphrasing), 'We need to find someone to come in here and play QB."
As far as the next few years, Iām just looking for improvement. Next year will be better, but year 5 we may have a little dip with losing 30+ seniors. Hopefully the guys we are holding back this year will play large roles next year and the hit wonāt be so hard. I think the staff at least has a plan and they have talked about it all along.
Of the 30 seniors not all are scholorship players, so itās not as bad as it seems⦠some of this years freshman class are top notch and have really excelled during their redshirt year. itās possible some of those players could start next fall.
You sure about RB?
If we sign Lemay, weāll have Phillips, Rankin, Lemay, and the JUCO who looked solid before he got hurt (and I didnāt learn his name). Also Garrison Duncan. Thatās decent depth.

Hereās some perspective: 9-3 in the sec is ādisappointingā and this is the result. Weād kill for a 9-3 season. http://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/georgia-football/breaking-georgia-fires-mark-richt/
Amazed that this is even a question. I get the frustration but weāve played three seasons and fast-tracked to CUSA with original talent. Recruiting over time needs to focus on bigger, stronger, faster players but anyone who expected more than a couple of wins this year is crazy.
91% in favor soā¦
Whatās funny is admin will most likely use the poll as a feather in their cap around the water cooler
(Then ignore the 100 threads who clearly state AD needs overhaul)
I voted yes, but since I thought weād win 4 (maybe 5 games) this season and you called me crazy, let me play devils advocate.
Lambert has won 12 games in 3 seasons. A mark he hit 10 loooong weeks ago. Of which, only 5 of those teams were Division 1 scholarship programs (beat presby 2x).
Bobby Wilder for example at ODU had 17 wins in his first 2 seasons.
Larry Coker had 12 wins in his first 2 seasons. In his 3rd season at UTSA (While in CUSA) he went 7-5, tied for 2nd in the west.
Brian Bohannon won 6 games this year at Kennesaw State, heās halfway to 12 in 1 season.
Bobby Lamb at Mercer won 16 games by the end of his 2nd season.
So what was the plan here? it was clear the goal wasnāt to win in year 1, or year 2 apparently. I was hoping in year 3, but unfortunately not year 3 either. Now year 3 is a little unfair given the huge bump in talent we went up against, but I donāt think we did a good job of preparing for this season. Depth is still an issue after 4 recruiting classes, and the QB we trotted out there couldnāt throw it from a shoutbox gang member to the nearest female.
If we donāt add a QB, it wonāt be year 4. Judging by the fact that we are dead last in CUSA East for 2016 Rivals recruiting ranking, may not be year 5 or 6 either.
At some point winning needs to happen. Again, he has my support, right now. I think heās excellent on camera and a good figure for our program, but heās got to win.
