Poll: Do you still support coach Lambert as HC?

Charlotte 49ers – Brad Lambert

Brad Lambert has sparked consistent banter here at Today’s U, spanning back from the spring when Charlotte was granted a slot in the FBS, all the way to midway progress reports and postseason evaluation.

The 49ers, at 2-10, settled right around the presumed win total that the sports books dialed up back in early June. Kicking off the docket by stringing together consecutive victories over non-conference opponents marked the highpoint of the year as Charlotte nabbed ten straight defeats.

Unable to get acclimated to the full extent with its peers of the Conference USA, Charlotte remained considerably competitive with the knowledge that personal success and growth would peak its accolades for the inaugural season in the FBS. With three losses by ten points or less and a wide margin for leeway, it’s daunting to unleash a harsh scolding on a 2-10 49ers program.

Grade: B-

[/quote]

I personally would downgrade him to a C based solely on the way he handled the QB situation.

C as well…

High marks for making a change at DC
Poor marks for the QB situation and not hiring a Special Teams Coach.

I would give him a C for the lack of recruiting. I just think we have so much talent within 200 mile radius in NC/SC/VA/GA that we should be able to get better/higher rated recruits if we had a good recruiting person.

Do you still support NNN’s ability to make polls?

We may not have hired a “Special Teams Coach” but Lambert does address the position in his hire of Coach Hood as Assistant.
"He’s excited about being on offense and coaching the tight ends and he’s a big special teams guy, so he’ll be a huge asset."
