Why not a left-over Tarhole, it has worked so well for ECU and App?

than hire a left-over Tarhole
If they could teach ft shooting, 3 point defense and how to hustle 100% of the game, we’d be a tourney team. At least until the current players graduate.

What would our record be if we had shot at least 70% FTs and averaged <10 TOs a game thus far? Those 2 areas alone have killed this team and this season. Basic s#!7 that we absolutely suck at. So sad it’s sickening.
If only options, Major or Moxley?
Suicide
Just throwing it out there just because… Former Lutz assistant Rob Moxley?
Go home, you’re drunk.
Hal Wissel may be an improvement.
Start over. Have we hit rock bottom yet? Is Major the new Wissel?
I think he will be viewed as such (historically).

Major is so much better than Wissel. He won in one season as much as Wissel did in his career here. Not saying Major is good, or that we should keep him, just that it is a ridiculous comparison.

Yeah I think Major is better than Wissel and the person coming in behind him will have an easier situation than Mullins had. With that said I think Major’s time here will be viewed in a similar light - the bottoming out of the program between sustained periods of solid play. At least I hope that is the case.

Having not been here for Wissel, I’m not qualified to say where anyone ranks on the list. I can say that in my 23 years of affiliation, this is the absolute worst shape the program has been, and to even been in the conversation with Wissel is proof enough that this hire was disastrous.

If you are only looking at the records, maybe----maybe…but I was actually around back then. You also have to look at what each person inherited and Major actually came into a better situation than Wissel did. Pratt left our program in pretty bad shape, much worse than Lutz did. Also, Wissel actually won in a smaller program (Major hasn’t shown he can win anywhere yet) and maintained a presence in basketball for years. It remains to be seen if Major can do that as well.

I was around for Wissel. IMO there is not much difference. We should have been better under Major because he inherited a much better team than Wissel did. By the time Wissel took over, the Final 4 era was rapidly becoming nothing but a memory. Major inherited a 19 win team returning 4 starters in a strong conference that had been on the bubble until the final week in February. Then he threw it all away, beginning with a home LOSS to GARDNER WEBB at 4 O’CLOCK ON A FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

No. Gardner Webb did not play Kentucky during the season they beat us and they did not play Kentucky the previous year.
Is Paul Westphal still alive? I’d like to see us average 140 points a game. :))
