I have no insider knowledge on this - no tips. I saw an alert from AP, and looked into this on a lark. Just seems like a decent fit for us. DePaul was not deep with post players so this guy played some 4 and 5. If you check his game log, he had a couple of good games late in the season against ranked BE teams (16 pts vs both Marquette and Notre Dame in successive games). He also had two 4 block games and a 5 block game last season. Dunno if he is a good defender or an opportunist, but this seems like a solid add for where we are at and he would bring experience to the team for 1 year. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

I would not complain if it happened. That would be a solid land this late in the game. Maybe I am hoping one of the assistants sees this.

I don’t know if we have a snowball’s chance in hell of getting this guy, but he would the last piece we need for this year I think. He’s experienced playing against high level comp, he obviously has half a brain if he graduated and still has a year left, and there are a few things I like about his stats. The last 2 years he’s averaged 20+ mpg, about 1.5 blocks, and 0.5 TO’s, so there is a positive ratio there. Most importantly he’s shot 70% from the FT line so he’s not a liability at the line. Perfect 1 year stop gap player who could take some of the weight off Thorne’s shoulders. I hope Major is reading the recruiting boards haha.
