Alan was a very good teacher but Mark absolutely commands the conversation. He was taking it easy last night letting the guys have some fun and letting the assts run things. Reg practice takes on a much more professional tone. No yelling but certainly can get after them. Mark simply has credibility that comes with excelling at the level these guys want to reach.

I don’t see how that could ruin the relationship. He had no head coaching experience. It’s just hard to put a coach with no experience in a P5 program like tech. If he success here and they need a coach they will be all over him.

Then I don’t think you understand relationships very well. Not like they passed him over for some can’t miss coach that they could pass up, that hired a coach who needed to get out of Dayton because there was rumbling there about his lack of results(See 2 NCAA appearances in 8 yrs). And I would contend that GT hiring Price was no more of a stretch than us hiring him.
