Not sure of how many people remember Rashad Carruth, but I had completely forgotten about him until I saw him on the court today. He is a former McDonald’s All-American in 2001 and I was pretty impressed with his game today.
He played his freshmen year at Kentucky and averaged 5.5 ppg. He then transferred to Oklahoma in 2002 and was planning to sit out that season but then ran into some off the court problems and left that program. He had planned to sit out the 2002-03 season at Oklahoma, and have three years of eligibility as a Sooner beginning in 2003-2004. But he ran into some off the court problems in Norman, precipitating his departure from the Big 12 stalwart. He is a junior and spent last year at Indian Hills C.C. in Ottumwa, Ia.
He is averaging 13.2 ppg and should be a very talked about player for Southern Miss next year.
Eustachy is one of the most polite coaches we’ve had in Halton, and he coached the whole game. You can tell he’s going to have a great team, he’s a really good coach.
He did a good job with the coaches without ever raising his voice and he was a good sport after the game. No Sean Finney, no Calipari, shame more coaches aren’t like him, glad we’re leaving before he could ever stick us with a loss.

I worked the drinking/partying angle all game and couldn’t touch the guy. Had the scorer’s table enjoying it, but perhaps Larry’s turned that corner in his life.
Yeah he wasn’t even in the media room after the game. Only person that came in for Sou. Miss was Carruth. First time I had ever seen that before! Really weird. No one really had any questions for Carruth either.
