Reason #1,457,987 to change our name

It’s not that we want to take claim to the class, but I don’t want to be referred to as univ. at No. Car. at Charlotte and have Chapel Hole referred to as the “real” North Carolina in the same sentence. It was insult on top of injury.

the head of cato is a charlotte alumnus.

Well here is reason #1,457,988… and I have never seen this one before.

UNNC Hat for sale on ebay

At first I thought it was a typo, but he typed the same thing in the title and the item description.

that logo should not even exist. now clt is pissed again.

Like usual, we as Charlotte grads are almost expecting it, and letting it roll off our backs. I have been doing the same, that is, until watching CNN this morning.

The main anchor turns it over to CNN’s metrosexual entertainment reporter. Entertainment anchor goes on to discuss how the University of North Carolina is offering a class on American Idol, while showing clips of the American Idol show, in which the entire time the UNC powder blue logo is on the bottom of the screen. Camera cuts back to reporter. “Oh…um…I’m told the American Idol class is being offered at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and not the ‘real’ North Carolina. Back to you.” [/b]

If it makes you feel any better Indiana and Tufts are offering a class on reality TV.

I don’t have a digital camera, but if I get the chance, I’ll try to get a picture of the Adopt-A-Highway sign in front of campus.

If any of you drive by there, and you have a digital, try to snap a picture.

It reads:

Adopt-A-Highway
UNCC-Charlotte
Black Student Union

I can’t imagine that’s how it’s supposed to read.
