Record Money for the Big 12

$10.8 million this year on top of their own tickets/donations/merchandise.

Another reason to keep football rolling!

Lot of talk about this on local radio (Austin). Biggest talk though is about this:

“Among the areas that were mentioned for possible cost savings include the elimination of non-traditional playing seasons in sports such as baseball and volleyball; ceasing foreign travel for teams and all-star squads; doing away with regional track and field championships; and the elimination of printed media guides.”

As one local sports host, Sean Adams, was complaining, it seems to be a bit of sports socialism. Most of the suggestions for cost saving and such are from the Baylor’s and Iowa State’s.

As champions always say, If you can’t beat 'em, just try and setup regulations that prevent them from having an advantage because of their hard work and dedication in the past!
