Redraft for the entire league

If you could redraft the entire league (including the players in this year’s draft), what would your top 10 look like?

  1. Lebron James
  2. Kevin Durant
  3. Anthony Davis
  4. Chris Paul
  5. Steph Curry
  6. Kevin Love
  7. Blake Griffin
  8. Russel Westbrook
  9. Lemarcus Aldridge
  10. Kawhi Leonard

I would take Love out of the top 10 and move Westbrook and Curry above Paul to round out top 5. I may even put Westbrook ahead of Durant these days.

  1. Lebron
  2. Durant
  3. Steph
  4. Davis
  5. Harden
  6. Westbrook
  7. Paul
  8. Griffin
  9. Rose (if ever healthy again)
  10. Howard

I love these type of things. This list looks different to me depending on what we are talking about. Winning right now vs starting a franchise. Also injuries obviously come into play. Assuming Durant is healthy he’d move up higher. Same for Paul George for me.

  1. Davis
  2. James
  3. Curry
  4. Durant
  5. Griffin
  6. Westbrook
    7 Harden
  7. Paul
  8. Leonard
  9. Paul George

If you redrafted the whole league, what round was the first Charlotte Hornet go?

2nd or 3rd.

  1. Davis
  2. Lebron
  3. Curry
  4. Westbrook
  5. Harden
  6. Durant - (if healthy he’s #3)
  7. Griffin
  8. Paul
  9. Cousins (he’s nuts, but he’s good as hell)
  10. Leonard

First Hornet off the board would be MKG at 50-60

This just shows me what a dumbfucker Sam Presti is and what a cheap turd Clay Bennett is… You should have 3 of the top 6 players in the world on your team- with Ibaka about 30th…

haha Lebron at #1 nice joke peeps he cant even hit a jump shot he just bulldozes his way to the paint and he travels a ton which the refs never call plus he is a big sore loser he is 2-4 in the finals for his career he has as many rings as Adam Morrison…let that sink in

When did the NBA start calling their “stars” for traveling?

Let that sink in.

You must still eat paint chips.

I’m going to factor in talent, age, and health to my ranking:

  1. Eyebrow - We all know why
  2. Curry - Hate to do it but the kid has handles now with that jump shot and I would pull for him as a Hornet.
  3. LBJ - Best player in the world. Hate the prick.
  4. Durant - 6’10 from the treehouse and can drive to the hoop.
  5. Westbrook - The perfect PG when he is healthy.
  6. Harden- Dribble drive and fade/step back…you are done son.
  7. Cousins - Kid has a mouth but has a complete offensive game and works the defensive end.
  8. J Butler - This guy is scrappy as hell does everything. Coach’s dream.
  9. R Jackson - I know he is on the Pistons, has court vision, pace, and will take the shot. Next big star in the NBA.
  10. Wiggins - The kid didn’t quite prove it in his first year (other than ROY) but the kid is a baller. I’ll take him in my Top 5 over the next 3 years.

Enjoyed your top 10 list.

Davis is going to be a really great player when it is all said and done, but no way on earth is Lebron not #1. The guy goes to the NBA Finals every season, Davis hasn’t won a playoff series.

Basketball is a team sport. Picking a most valuable or “best” player is interesting, but ultimately meaningless.
Lebron with a younger Wade and Bosh> Lebron with the supporting cast he had in this year’s NBA finals. Still a great player either way.

That in a sense was the purpose of the thread. You can debate who the MVP should be. But at the end of the day, if you were redrafting the league today, what’s your top 10 look like? So, without actually having to say it, you are saying who you think the best player is.

I took the question as if im drafting a team to compete for the next 5-10 years who are you going with. I think Davis is a year or two away from being the best player on earth. Lebron is fantastic but has a lot of city miles on him.

But give me any of Davis, lebron, durant or curry and im happy. You can make a case for any of them at the top spot imo.

LeBron is #1 by a country mile if it’s for next year. Davis by a country mile if it’s for the next 10
