Remember When

We thought we were going to dominate A10 basketball. What happened?

Reality

Our former coaching staff faced the reality of their flawed recruiting strategy and didn’t bring enough good players in to maintain previous success.

Excuses.

We struck out several times looking, that’s what happend. We have 6 new guys, potentially more, coming into the picture for next year. I think we have a totally different starting backcourt next year. Luka/Henry and Mayfield, possibly Nickerson at SF. I’m not sold on JB being consistent enough to warrant the starting position. Hopefully Braswell learns to be stronger with his post moves, he has the weakest hook shot I’ve ever seen. If you are 6’9, 240lbs, then play like it.

Agreed. We went after some top notch talent but usually seemed to be on the outside looking in.

Agreed. And about Braswell, he needs to recognize when to go to the basket and when to dish off. That hook looks even weaker when the shot is not there. He has the potential to be a great player with a little polishing.

I don’t know that I’ve ever read something more accurate on this board.

Where’s my like button? He and Phil were the softest when going up this past year. Phil started playing more agressive and going up stronger, before he was declared ineligible.

We thought that when we had the teams we had in CUSA. THOSE teams WOULD have dominated. >:D

As for JB, he could have become a STAR yesterday. Instead, he just disappointed. And Bras’ shots make me sick. PLEASE, someone help him know when to shoot and when to kick it back out.
