There’s really not alot to say about this one.
Back to reality
no rest, no bench. knew it was coming. i would comment on how horrific the officiating is, but it’s so consistently sickening that i don’t even care to anymore.

I thought the officiating was solid, they called it pretty fair.

fair isn’t relevant…you call what’s there, and some of the calls and no calls were terrible. moving screens were everywhere…one possession there were two missed over the back calls that lead to a richmond 3…an’juan’s entire game is taken away cause he can’t get any calls going straight into the defender…one of the blocking calls on mack was a joke, ESPECIALLY considering the charge on dijuan in the X game. that’s been consistently terrible all year. …if you thought it was solid, you were looking in the wrong places…maybe you’re just used to bad officiating being a niners fan. either way, it was consistently terrible on both ends, just like always in the A10. not saying it made a difference in the least…when you shoot under 50% from the line, getting more calls won’t do much…it’s just tiring to see calls/no calls swing the momentum big time when they shouldn’t, especially when a team is on the road with no rest and no bench
no rest, no bench.
Depth will help us next year. I think that Coleman is even streakier than Anderson. What was up with Wilderness tonight? I didn’t get to watch or listen to the game, just check the updates online.

And back to excuses
Will Phil be able to play in the next game?

It’s really up in the air right now. Bobby could only speculate after the game.
Classic Bobby Lutz… Beat Xavier and lose to Richmond. Anyone who didn’t see this loss coming hasn’t been watching the Niners long enough. Instead of putting together a nice winning streak and earning a little respect, we reassure everyone that our win over Xavier was indeed just a fluke.
I wish we could rebound. It got a little better in the second half but there were several plays when our guys were UNDER the basket on defense when they took jumpshots. You won’t find many rebounds down there. Need to box out guys and rebound the ball.
In the second half, we relied way too much on the jump shots that we hit in the first. Gotta know that will slow down based on percentages and the fact that we’re on little rest with no bench…needed to get to the line in the second half.
What always kills us against Richmond is that we go into the game saying we need to dictate our pace on them. We always do it in spots and let them slow us down way too much overall. Always kills us against them.
Our guys couldn’t make jump shots or come off of screens in the second half…tired legs. Having phil would have helped, but this game just never seemed winnable considering the circumstances. HAVE to beat GW and need revenge on Richmond at home.

I wouldn’t call it a fluke. When we play as well as we did on Thursday night, we can beat a top-20 caliber team.
Difficult to rebound, when all we have is SFs in the frontcourt.
We really don’t even have a back-up frontcourt player at this stage.
Needing different players wasn’t the issue. We should have and could have won tonight with the players we have. It was poor end game management AGAIN and that falls on the coach(es) IMO.
RICHMOND OWNS OUR A$$
Can we win a road game?
WOW what a letdown after thursday…jeez.

Very true- the good old letdown was inevitable.

For anyone who has followed the Niners for some time, this post says it all.

he got fouled on every shot he took aside from the one he was blocked on…that one it looked like he tried to fade instead of take the contact…which is what happens when youre not getting calls after drawing contact
