And he wouldn’t get that here??

Depends on if he wants to earn those minutes.
Remember the time the Memphis players decided to stand on our logo before the game? Didn’t take long for Calvin and team to get them off.

R.J. Slawson: The South Carolina transfer, who visited earlier this month, isn’t expected to decide on a new school until the first week of June. A 6-foot-8 forward, Slawson averaged 4.2 points and 3.3 rebounds in 2012-13, and would be eligible next season because he’s graduated from USC. While his numbers for the Gamecocks were modest, he’d fill a dire need for experienced size in the frontcourt.
Nice find! Has he even visited here yet?
Yes, he’s visited.
I’m assuming the lack of chatter and the lack of anything over at the other site means that his visit may not have gone all that well??
Heard it went well, but he wants to max out his playing time.

Well I don’t see why he couldn’t do that. Willie plays the 4, and Blakely appears to as well. That leaves Thorne, who by all accounts can’t play for more than ten minutes due to his conditioning (or lack thereof).

He could always earn it, novel concept.
We have 3 post players, 2 of whom are unproven and of those 2, one has never even played a college bball game. If that doesn’t scream ripe for minutes to him, than I don’t know what would.
Dang, we have 3 post players, I guess he is looking for a team with 1… good luck. :
If his PT offers were roughly 10, 12 and 13 minutes respectively and our PT offer (if there is actually such a thing) is 15, then we’re still good. Max is a relative term in this case. I don’t think he expects 40 minutes. At least I hope not.
Don’t know anything about the kid but if he can play, he could easily get 20-25 min next year.
I was at the gold rush auction last night and talked to a few people in the know. Apparently RJ has signaled that he is very likely to pick Charlotte for his last year. Also spoke to Major and he had a “good feeling” we will get one more guy. Keep in mind these are rumors but all signs are looking up!
If we can pick him up and he gives us 20 good mins a game, we avoid injuries to big men, I’ll feel a lot better about our inaugural year in CUSA.
Him being at the auction seems like a lock to come here.
Who said he was at the auction??
Was trying to say I was there, don’t think he was.
My guess is if we don’t land Slawson, we’ll put on the full court press for Ingrosso.

Ahhhhh misread
We lost Braswell, Clark, Nickerson, JTT, Lewis, Mayfield and Ivankovic and have picked up Sullivan, Lester, Braxton O, Cherry and Blakley, right?
Any chance we go after Ingrosso and Slawson? We’d still have two open scholarships next year in that scenario.

I think Lester already had a scholly.

If I recall correctly he had to pay his own way last year - similar to the way Big Phil did when he was getting his grades straight.
