I think that position pays $35k. Lots of time on the road recruiting has to be tough. I wonder how that salary compares to similar positions at other schools in our conference?
Best wishes to Kris, that’s our 4th(?) alumni staff member to move onto another career that is not involved in college athletics this year. Not sure if it’s a trend per say, but, they have all been exceptional hard workers and successful in their own right. Moving on or moving up is inevitable within the makeup of college athletics and the structure. Can’t move up as fast as you’d like because people in the higher ranks love their job and the university and I think for many of us alumni staffers we’d rather move to another career vs. working for another university/ leave the city of Charlotte.
BTW Bo Robinson was elevated from Volunteer Assistant to Full Time Assistant to take Rochelle’s spot. Now we are looking to fill the Volunteer Assistant position. I would guess we bring in another former player who graduated within the last few seasons.
Hopefully ya’ll don’t feel this as a thread jack, but, rather a place to keep track of all university athletic employee movement…
Just found out Cass (director of athletic facilities) has accepted a position at Kansas, while this is awesome for him he has been the hardest working employee we’ve had for a loooooong time running. Cass has spent more hours on this campus then anyone can imagine. It’s simply impossible to replace him as there just isn’t anyone that can work that hard. He’s helped me out tremendously for our events and I’m extremely sad to see him go… don’t like how many great people we’re losing but excited for all of their new opportunities!
Best wishes Cass(he’s also an alum…) and I know he’ll bleed green for…ever!!
