Rodney a Scoring Machine

• The hands-down winner of this week's "We're oblivious to the players on our own roster" award goes to the Nuggets. With Carmelo Anthony on the shelf, they somehow still found a way to avoid playing Rodney White, who took a DNP-CD Monday night. White is a scoring machine who averages nearly a point every two minutes -- and was even better a year ago -- but he's only averaging 14 minutes a night. That's understandable if 'Melo's ahead of him (they play the same position) but indefensible if the Nuggets are giving his minutes to mediocre retreads like Bryon Russell and DerMarr Johnson, as they've done this week.

Someone please call send this to Kiki and Coach B, everyone else but them seem to realize the talent that Rodney has. And I really think that it is Coach B to blame, not Kiki.

Play him or trade him!

 good find

Morningwood:

I was at the game last night and was shocked that White didn’t even take off his warmups. Anthony and Camby were both out but Bzdelik couldn’t bring himself to play Rodney. Who knows what has put Hot Rod in the doghouse again.

I wish they would trade Rodney too. Not playing him does nothing to help his value to the rest of the league.

I cannot stand Bzdelik for a lot of reasons. He doesn’t know how to substitute and the players don’t seem to respect him. He was never supposed to do more than keep the seat warm until the Nuggets got a real coach.

Rodney should never have re-signed here. His gunplay incident over the summer scared off a lot of teams.

I think that the team just has a problem with his attitude, justified or not. They hardly ever play him and I see a lot of DNP-CD for rodney. It’s not a talent question because any retard knows that rodney is better than johnson. It must be pretty serious if a team who isn’t doing as well as they could would keep a good player on the bench out of spite. If only he could have kept away from the qwikdraw impressions.

There are rumors that Kiki is shopping both Rodney and Skita looking for a 2 guard.

Let’s hope that a trade happens.

I posted it on a Nuggets message board. Most people think he should get more minutes. We’ll see what they have to say.

DownwithNBA:

There are probably some things behind the scenes we just don’t know about. If White has been a problem at practice, the press here hasn’t written about it.

I have noticed that if Rodney makes a bad turnover or bonehead play he is usually pulled right after that. He is not given the time to get into the flow of the game. He pretty much has to come in hitting his shot or his time on the court is short.

He does need to learn that he has to be alert and ready to mix it up when his number is called.

Rodney is also not big on cheering on his teammates. He seems to be more enthusiastic towards his teammates if he is getting minutes. When he is getting DNP-CD, he tends to sulk. That probably doesn’t play well with Bzdelik either.

Not everyone can be Mark Madsen or Mateen Cleaves. I think this is to Rodney’s credit.

rodney needs more jello. once he gets the jello, the cup will be full.

:o  :)

Watching their games it seems the Coach has no rotation what so ever, every night it is a mystery who backs up who and who plays when, seems odd. Not sure if he tells the players before the game or not.

When it comes time for the playoffs they need to have that set.

clt thinks that rodney is way too grape for the grass. he needs to move on to a new leaf.
