Roethlisberger

I need 6 figures. Why don’t I make up a crime from 1 year ago that I never filed. And he gets publicly embarassed while my lying a55 lives in privacy.

I hate the rampant influx of Steeler fans all over the populized world, much like cockroaches, and I would be thrilled that if there was some news that one of their heroes was a horrible person. However, he’s innocent. Just like Kobe. Just like Duke LaCrosse.

Agree with you on Roth and Duke…

Well, there are only two people who know what happened. My guess is that she will get paid for getting laid whether it was truly consensual or not. Why big time athletes put themselves in situations like this is beyond me. She has a kick-ass attorney, so this thing is not going away quietly. This will be a fun start to the season for Mike Tomlin and the Steelers.

I still can’t decide if I hate the Steelers or Cowboys more.

You don’t hate the Steelers or their fans, you just hate that your fav team will neve be as great as the Steelers or have fans that will ever overwhelm the home team with noise away from PA. Its understandable. Ben is just a great QB. No need to make him a saint or demon. In the end, he’s not running over old men, killing dogs or getting is balls drained before a game.

No he is just raping bitches…:lmao:

Raping a woman is much more noble?:confused:

Any chance of unlicensed prostitution charges, if that’s what ends up happening?

He won’t be charged for a crime. It’s too late for that. This is a civil case. She says she was fearful of losing her job and the public humiliation from reporting it right after it happened, and she claims that’s why she waited until now. Based on both accounts, it’s just going to be who gets believed because their stories are quite different. I think it comes down to what her reputation is. Kobe escaped because his victim had a slutty reputation, and in rape cases, that’s usually what it boils down to. If this girl is crystal clean Big Ben is going to pay out the wazoo.

I mean truthfully we know no facts except that she never filed a police report (to this day), but is asking for money instead.

She waited so long that facts are not there. If she was raped I feel sorry for her, but she should have come forward sooner. If she was not raped, then she should got to jail for life (facts aren’t there to prove she wasn’t raped either).

I have had people i know whose lives were ruined even though it was proven that they were innocent of rape (by the way, not people who hung out with the wrong crowd or anything). If you wait until all facts are gone, then you are putting your word against someone else.

If she was raped, she should have gone and gotten a rape kit done. it’s not like they forward that to your employer.

Agreed, but see my last post. There was some rumor of a police gloss over in this, too, meaning they did not file a report though their may have been evidence to do so. No idea on the validity of that, it was just something that I heard. She can only go after him in civil court now. It’s her only option at this point, because there is no evidence. As I said above, I think it will come down to her reputation. If she is a good girl, I don’t think she would humiliate herself like this for the hell of it. If she’s found out to be a Vegas call girl, then she will get crucified. This does not read like that though:
She also accuses Harrah’s officials, including the casino’s chief of security, of orchestrating a cover-up of the incident she says she reported to him the next day. The lawsuit alleges Harrah’s officials worked to silence her and undermine her credibility rather than investigate her claims.

The woman, a native of Canada who had worked at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe hotel-casino since 2003, never went to outside authorities with her story, and it’s unclear why she decided to file the lawsuit seeking hundreds of thousands of dollars a year after the alleged incident.

Her lawsuit says she didn’t file a criminal complaint because she feared Harrah’s would side with Roethlisberger – a friend of the hotel-casino’s regional president John Koster – and she would be fired.

She said the security chief, Guy Hyder, told her she was “overreacting,” that “most girls would feel lucky to get to have sex with someone like Ben Roethlisberger” and that “Koster would love you even more if he knew about this.”

The lawsuit said she was treated between last August and December at five different hospitals for depression and anxiety stemming from the alleged assault, and returned to work each time after treatment.

She sought legal counsel in March after Harrah’s officials told her Roethlisberger was invited to play in the 2009 celebrity golf tournament and ordered her to take a paid two-week leave during the event, the lawsuit said, “to accommodate her assailant.” The tournament took place last week.
If any of that is true, Harrah’s better get out their checkbook also.

i was hoping she would get stuck with prostitution charges

ugh, i’m vomiting all over myself from this. You don’t know me, so don’t speak for me.

I hate the steelers, I hate the filthy, cocky city of ****sburgh, and I hate the holier-than-thous and bandwagon fans of the steelers.
i was hoping she would get stuck with prostitution charges
Well, wouldn’t Rothlesberger also be guilty of paying her if she’s guilty of prostitution? The john usually gets busted for solicitation.

Ouch porkchop, drinking that Haterade.

I was going to explain how big of a city Pittsburgh used to be compared to now, and how those people in 70’s and 80’s after the demise of the steel industry moved all over the nation looking for work, and how those people are still Steelers fans today even though they have to live HERE because they cannot go home to find work. Yet they still go see their team play and fill up about 25% of the other team’s stadium anywhere they go and boost that economy. I thought about taking that stance but…

no team in NINER NATION has ever been affected by a poor national and local economy… have they?

Easy, MeanJoeGreen does not represent all of us from Pittsburgh, yes we are cocky, any city that wins is. The QC will be if the Panthers win a Superbowl or the Bobcats win a Championship, when they do they will have earned those bragging rights. I do resent the remarks about filthy Pittsburgh, I doubt you have been there in the last few years. The city is as clean as Charlotte, has mountains and rivers surrounding it, and even has WiFi all over downtown. Living here is a result of my job, I like it here just fine, but I am proud to be from Pittsburgh. Charlotte has a lot of potential to become a great city, pop up some museums, some transportation options, mainly Charlotte should find an identity (I suggest NINER FOOTBALL) to brand the city, things are looking up here in the QC. I don’t understand why people hate success? Don’t hate, emulate.

Oh, sure. Play the ‘I’m from the 2nd worst city in America sympathy card.’ There are many Western PA native Steelers fans, but around here there are just as many faux diehards who probably were Cowboy/Redskin/Raider fans 5-10 years ago.

Peace be with you.
