RPI numbers this week

Through games of Sunday, November 28, the 49ers are hanging in with a 99 RPI, 114 SOS. Still way too early to care a lot about these numbers.

303 RPI, 287 SOS - Rhode Island, 1-3
321 RPI, 307 SOS - Saint Bonaventure, 0-3

Definitely too early. But winning the next three will give us a nice RPI boost, given the average (current) RPI of those three teams is 32. Then it will take a slight hit when we face woeful UNC-A

Can’t wait till next year when we’re finally in a power basketball conference…

How depressing to see those A-10 numbers. Oh my god somebody please get Judy Rose out of our program!! The A-10 is GARBAGE.

If conference realignment had already happened and the Niners (and Saint Louis) were staying in C-USA…

School/RPI
UCF 14
Memphis 49
UAB 59
UTEP 75
East Carolina 97
Charlotte 99
Southern Miss 159
Houston 183
Marshall 190
Tulsa 224
Saint Louis 245
Tulane 253
Rice 265
SMU 274

Look at that Rutgers number, 8. Beating us on the road is worth a lot I guess.

That is good news, looks like we are loaded in that equation, look for a big jump in our RPI if we can pull off a few wins in a row.

I’ll take the A-10 over the “new” Conference USA. At least there is a hint of basketball prowess. Another thing – is it really relevant to discuss RPI in November??? ECU is ahead of us and they got drilled by 30 at Gardner-Webb.

Not really, but it keeps us busy until Wednesday.
