RPI

Its amazing that after 2 games our SOS has improved by more than 100.

Something we may not be able to count on in seasons to come.

our rpi should jump into the 50’s tomorrow.

In seasons to come, we need to really load up on the non-conference schedule

RPI this morning is at 48. Marquette droped below 50.

Yep, according to Ken Pom, we cracked the top 50 and are currently at #48. Thats not too shabby considering what was a wretched OOC schedule. Thankfully, teams like Indiana and Davidson are picking it up a notch and helping us out a bit.

We’re really right where we need to be. As long as we win the games we’re supposed to win (which is most of them from here on out) we’ll be sitting pretty. Next game is vs TCU and even though they lost to St. Louis yesterday, they’re in the mid 70’s in RPI.

No doubt. Indiana win will end up being a pretty decent one for us in the long run. If our OOC opponents continue to do well in conference, we should be sitting in a good spot come tournament time. We just have to win the games we’re supposed to win and that includes TCU. And we DESPERATELY need to finally win up in Saint Louis.

Yeah, JCL, @St. Louis still scares the bejeezus out of me. Dont look now, but they’re 3-2 in conference after probably the most disgusting out of conference record/results of any CUSA team. I dont know how their guys figure out a way to win, but that ugly style just wears you out.

That being said, if we dont win there this year, we just simply never will…All the stars are alligned

Well, if the Eagles finally win an NFC Championship game today, coupled with the Red Sox winning a World Series, then we know that we’re in good shape to finally break the curse this time around.

But with that said, they could suit up only 4 guys and still find a way to beat us up there. :frowning:

Nice to see our RPI climbing so quickly. I was a little worried at the end of the OOC schedule when we were still over 100. We still have plenty of chances to improve on it too…

TCU (77)
Cincy (26)
Houston (67)
DePaul (30)
Louisville (27)

Is the St. Louis game on Tv? I not sure what’s worse- watching that game on tv or listen to us on radio. I think I watched it at Picasso last year and almost passed out it was so exciting  The should destroy that place.

I don't believe there's any TV for that game...probably for the best as painful as it is to watch Saint Louis play.

Nice RPI Memphis has :lmao:

The SLU game is on TV, as are all of our remaining road games.

Here’s the movement so far this season with games played earlier that week…

RPI 99, SOS 114 on November 28, 2004 – Long Beach State, Rutgers, Valparaiso
RPI 179, SOS 230 on December 5, 2004 – Louisiana Lafayette, Alabama
RPI 123, SOS 215 on December 12, 2004 – Davidson, Georgia State
RPI 171, SOS 262 on December 19, 2004 – UNC Asheville
RPI 143, SOS 263 on December 26, 2004 - Indiana
RPI 106, SOS 253 on January 2, 2005 – Yale, Central Connecticut State
RPI 128, SOS 284 on January 9, 2005 – East Carolina
RPI 92, SOS 254 on January 16, 2005 – Alabama Birmingham, Saint Louis
RPI 48, SOS 144 on January 23, 2005 – Cincinnati, Marquette

If the 49ers keep on winning, and a few of the OOC teams play like they can, these numbers won’t be too much different from past seasons.

I wouldn’t make too much fun at Memphis…I watch some of their game yesterday and they are still very talented. Thats going to be a good game.

We have third best road/neutral record in the country.

Ill, Pacific and us. One more road win and we will have second best record.

We are still 9-1 in our last 10. If seeds were had today I would guess we would get a 6, 7 or 8 seed (our favorite), thanks to these two stats.
