Plus he has been an assistant at Texas and Florida, two of the biggest athletic programs in the nation, I hope he knows how to get things done when he doesn’t have millions of dollars thrown at him.

Kevin Durant??? Doh! I guess I shouldn’t just look at his 2009 recruiting… I thought his main page put every commitment he has gotten not just the ones from that year… Ok I’ll give you Kevin Durant and DJ Augustin, but I’m not going to like it!!!

I had the experience of watching some of the NCAA tournament games with a buddy who is a Longhorns alum. Clearly, he does not think highly of Rick Barnes’ coaching ability (understatement).
So when I spoke to him yesterday about the possibility of Springmann, he basically said, “I’d leave for a head coaching job, too, if I kept giving Barnes great players to f*** up!” :))
I was listening to Frank and buck a few weeks ago and they were talking about an interview Barnes gave. Barnes said something like I’m not coaching these guys for national championships I’m getting them ready for the NBA…

I have always said the same thing about Rick Barnes also. He gets fantastic players, but his teams always look like they are running wild on the court. One thing I will give him though, they seem to play pretty good defense. I consider him like Mack Brown, an outstanding recruiter (maybe the best in the country) who gets the best football talent from all over, but a great coaching strategist he is not. If Vince Young wasn’t the dynamic player he is, and made those outstanding plays to keep the Texas drive going, Brown would still not have a championship.

This guy landed Durant, D.J. Augustin, and Damion James in one class. Landed a few other solid players over the past few years.
Interesting to see him on the list still since we haven’t heard mention of us interviewing him. We possibly could have at the final four, but at this point, who knows
