Should Lester be in the starting lineup?

How many teams leading scorers come off the bench?

I think minutes played is def more important. I’m guessing if Lester wasn’t a freshman player then he would be starting. But how many other teams have their leading scorer coming off the bench? Common? Major a genius?

yes he should be in the starting lineup. just like braswell, derrio green, etc

i agree with lester and braswell but not derrio. he was a lazy defender with terrible shot selection.

Lester has a lot of physical ability. His basketball ( and his actual, according to reports) IQ is VERY low. He plays plenty of minutes.

Does it seem like PH doesnt get the ball to Lester at times when he is the best option? Just something I have noticed. I could be wrong.
Anyone else see this?

It’s like watching street ball, and Lester is black hole, he’s talented but it’s the truth.

We had one person shoot above 50% tonight, that was Shawn Lester. He should start.

I am okay with starting Lester, but that doesn’t change the outcome of any of these games.

Yes, I think Lester should start. Of course, I thought Braswell should start too. One can claim Lester does not start because he is a freshman. That logic did not apply to Braswell.

It’s the same situation as Braswell, right? I might be remembering wrong because I don’t really care to remember much of the past few seasons, but we started out pretty well with Braswell on the bench so Major never went away from that even after the losses piled up? Pretty much what we’re seeing with Lester. “We beat Michigan with Lester on the bench, why would I ever change?” Flawed logic, but at least it appears to be consistent.

I saw Henry pass up an open Lester tonight to make a pass to TW who missed another shot in transition. It seems like Henry is having an issue with Lester.

Yea, I remember that one. It was late in the game also

I saw the whole team pass up wide open Bryan several times, lol.

I don’t know WTF has happened to Bryan but for most of conference play he cannot hit the broad side of a barn with a tactical nuke. He is shooting 9-26 in conference play, with one or two decent games and the rest have been bad. Cannot rely on him to hit an open shot anymore.

A good coach would have knocked Lester’s bball IQ points up a few notches by this point in the season. Your best offensive weapon shouldn’t spend the first 8 minutes of a half on the bench. Especially when your offense is inconsistent. By the time he can get in the flow of the offense and get a few shots up, it’s almost time to sit again for halftime.

Agreed.

Just like Derio Green his senior season too. These coaching decisions are real head scratchers.
