I have owned a few businesses in the past one of them was an online electronics company I started many years ago. I was trying to get a jump on what I thought would be something huge in the future; however the marketing cost was outrageous. After a couple of years I had to shut it down. I think the way you appear to be going about it will be beneficial to you. Twitter, Facebook, and message boards will be invaluable as they can reach potentially millions of people and do so free to you. I would suggest often post sales, specials and maybe coming up with a catchy weekly deal or something like that. I did like the site and good luck.
