So, is anyone going to AC?

Simple rule: Don't go north for vacation.
The initial thought was Florida, but we didn't plan anything so I didn't take Friday off work... so it kinda limited my time to do anything.

Plus I admit I’m obsessed with our basketball even though we are so bad.

If you do go up, make SURE to pay a visit to Irish Pub for me (those of us who went up there in previous years can attest). It’s @ St. James Place and the Boardwalk. It’s the one place in AC that can make it worth the visit, lol.

Noted for sure

I resent that.

I’m sure tonight will probably inspire some people to come right… hah

Meh, for winter though, it's pretty true for the most part unless you're going skiing.
It is New Jersey after all...

A New Jersey joke, good one man.
-But yea AC is the A##hole of the state (next to Newark of course.)

There are casinos around (Trump, Borgata, and Wild Wild West are within a reasonable walking distance) I went to the tourney freshmen year since I only live 20 minutes from AC @ home…

-Boardwalk Hall isn’t that bad of a venue. I don’t understand the bashing there man. (better than Bobcats Arena -that place is horrible to watch a basketball game.)
-If you have the opportunity I’d say head up there it’s worth the trip.

The catch is.... you can take a ski vacation out west (where the snow is much better) for about the same price.

What part of the body do you consider Camden?

I won’t be making the trip this year, sadly.

If you have a chance to go, take it. AC is a lot of fun, just don’t walk alone on the boardwalk at night. And of course, go to the Irish Pub.

And there are always plenty of stupid ass URI fans to get in fights with… HAHA

Nope. Trust me, out west is awesome. But it costs way more. I've been out west, and I've been up north. It's a longer drive out West, and more expensive out there. Killington VT is awesome if conditions are right. I've been there twice and driven both times... if you have a few drivers you can do it straight... like 16 hours. Really need to fly out west. Thread derail over though :o

It’s going to take a lot of convincing to get my friends to go to this… I start tomorrow

The sweatiest part of the armpit.

Yea, it is a little cheaper in New England than out west, especially if you stay away from the mountain (especially in towns like Brattleboro, Rutland, or Burlington and drive to the slopes). I go up to Vermont for long weekend trips, but prefer to spend a little extra and fly out west for the week long trips because the the quality of skiing is so much better.

I found a room for $150 for 2 nights hotel stay for 4 people that’s a mile away from boardwalk hall and a bit less than 100 for the outskirts of the city. 150 isn’t bad for 2 nights and not needing a DD…

Yeah I guess. I think Killington is pretty good though. I've only been to Vail/Copper out west, and they were awesome.

I remember when the conf tourny was called the Bobby Lutz Invitational
