I wouldnât say more stable, but c-usa has so many members I donât think we are in near the danger of folding like a conference like that one ECU Memphis, USF and UCF are in which doesnât have a name.
But until someone invites them, Louisville Cincinnatti, Connecticutt, with Memphis, ECU, South Florida, etc could become a viable basketball, football confernece if they so desired?
Louisville is in the ACC.
And nothing with ECU can be considered a viable basketball conference.

Think they will leave with Memphis etc coming in?
Is Cusa stable? Of course not. I do think that it is more stable than the BE (as Clayton said, less likely to fold). i get the impression that the institutions in CUSA for the next year are not as eager to depart as UConn and Cincy are to depart the BE. That conference just lost its name and its two highest profile members are actively and publicly pursuing a way out. If UConn and Cincy leave, what does that do to the recent espn contract? Not to mention it leaves USF as the only remaining member from last year and only 9 members. So all these new schools are paying millions in exit/ entrance fees to join a conference earning marginally better revenues with the high likelihood that those revenues will drop if UConn Or Cincy can find a home. I would have to think schools like ECU and Tulane are evaluating all options at this point, and questioning the stability of the BE has to be a factor.
I would not be surprise to see ECU, USF, Memphis, and a few others try to foam a new conference and get a few others to join before they are left with no options. I can see Terry Holland trying to work something out before he leaves ECU as the AD. If Holland is involved, we could get lucky and get a chance to join. This would help our basketball as well.
Iâm not really understanding what went on with ECUâs move first of all. If Terry Holland is such a bad ass like I hear many talk about why is it that they joined the Big East as a football only member? Tulane was able to join for all sports! Thatâs pretty embarrassing before all this crap went down with the Catholic 7, and even more embarrassing now if your an ECU alum. That fact alone should of been a huge wake up to where ECUâs program is. No where! ;D

Since both schools have actively pimped themselves to the ACC, yeah theyâll bolt. Wonât think twice about it.
