Given the amount of tactical conversations taking place during the breaks, I don’t see how they can limit the hydration breaks to just “hot” games, particularly when goal differential is a tiebreaker in group play. Seems to me that it has to be an all-or-none proposition.
Also, the definition of hot is funny. Oh no, it’s 80 degrees.
Messi almost got the WC assist record if Julian Alverez had scored. Messi is tied with Maradona for most WC assists at 8.

I totally disagree with Barstool’s take here. Haaland was being honest about what the world expects to happen instead of giving some kind of PC answer, but in doing so, he also shifted the expectations burden off his team.
Haaland is the best 9 in the world. Kane is a little more versatile, but Haaland is an absolute monster. Another match, 2 more goals.
Also, my boys have decided that those black kits are absolute
.
clt says you know more about soccer than anyone at barstool.

I’m still struggling with this one. In a game that ended in a 0-0 tie, this should have been a potentially game winning PK.
Me too, just no excuse for VAR to not step in and have the ref at least review it. I can see the ref had a bad angle to make the call, but how in the world do you not see that clear penalty in the replay booth? Really suspicious honestly. Getting tiresome to see some of the soft penalties given in other situations from VAR where any light contact is used to call a penalty (England benefited from this in their other game), but then a foul like this isn’t even reviewed.
The other awful call was Pickford diving in and taking out a Ghana player, getting zero contact with the ball, and somehow getting the foul called on the Ghana player.
England got “lucky” to get a draw.

So Chris Pratt starred in a 2021 movie called The Tomorrow War, and apparently, during one scene Brazil is playing a team in blue (Scotland?) in the World Cup and Aliens invade in the middle of the match.

Definitely playing our B team aside from McKennie

Well there went the best game of the group stage.
I wonder if there is going to be some pushback on the new head to head tie breaker rule? It’s still possible to advance to the elimination stage after 2 matches without, but it certainly makes it easier, which results in moves like this and what the USMNT pulled last night.
Will be interesting to see if this get discussed.
