“The Atlantic 10 expects its coaches, student-athletes, and administrators to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times,” says Bruno. “Coach Martelli’s comments were uncharacteristic of the high standards to which he holds himself and his student-athletes. Thanks Jim. The A10 refs do suck.
From Philly.com…
As one of the Philly.com pieces point out, the refs work the A-10, but aren’t exclusive to the league:
It was a Big Ten assignment, but the three officials also work in the Atlantic 10. The A-10's director of officials, Jim Satalin, was not at the game and has not seen the tape.
Perhaps the refs did suck, but going 1-6 on FTs at the end of the game didn’t help St. Joe’s, nor the tech Martelli received for his outburst.
Got me to thinking, if it had been a certain former coach at Temple, then nothing would have come from the league office…

No doubt… they wouldn’t for obvious reasons, but you’d be able to send your thugs to the office if they did.

Why do I get the feeling that Lutz will will hear this same speech this year?
Why do I get the feeling that Lutz will will hear this same speech this year?
Lutz certainly does his share of bitching and arguing from the bench, but he is always careful to avoid that issue all together in his post game interviews.
